infinite road ~ I don't why I picked this title, but I think of the infinity of God's creation, and how we are all walking towards God ~ with the help of His Grace, of course ~ but, with his help we overcome the sinful state of our life, and journey towards heaven

The Justinian Basilica of the Nativity (Grotto
of Nativity) at Bethlehem is built over the ruins
of an earlier basilica - it had replaced a still
earlier one built by Saint Helena*** in A.D. 325
This 4-th century Church remained unchanged
for almost 200 years -until the mid-6th century,
when the Byzantine Emperor Justinian replaced
it by the basilica we see today.

I had a lovely cycle out to Chesterfield along the Cuckoo Way route which mostly follows the Chesterfield canal. Setting off on the return I spied this excellent piece of public art on a field by a housing estate. My day was further made by the plaque which states it was designed by Liz Lemon - and i thought she was merely the TV writer/producer alter ego of the wonderful Tina Fey!
