Five exposures, handheld with the Pen F and Zuiko 12mm wideangle, blended in PMatix 5, tweaked in Photoshop Express and Fix as well as small nudge in Snapseed.

Phew! This post process malarkey ain't half a faff.

Apologies again for posting and running . . . busy here, and it looks like a teacher strike here in WV is inevitable.

Thanks for Viewing.

Inevitably, you are at the end of the queue!

The inevitable "other side" of these hot, steamy Summer days are the afternoon & evening thunders storms. (There's one rumbling in the distance now as a cold front moves through the valley.) Almost immediately after a downpour there are suddenly mushrooms popping up all over the place where before it was just grass and moss.

Daybreak over Black Nab. The conditions were lovely in Saltwick Bay for this sunrise and being up and about to enjoy the moment as the Sun rose over the deserted beach felt priceless.

In loving memory of Sheila (2004 - May 2nd, 2019)

Happy Caturday 21.11.2020 "Love is touch"

If man is only a fact, if he is inevitably limited by the mechanism of the external reality, then let him seek not anything greater than natural reality, let him ‘eat, drink, and be merry.’ … A man, however, does not wish to be a mere fact, to be only a phenomenon; in this unwillingness is already a hint that actually he is not a mere fact, that he is not a phenomenon only, but something greater.

Inevitable, Irreparable y Democratica muerte.

Inevitabile, irreparabile e democratica morte.

Democratic, inevitable and irreparable death.

Inevitably bored with the St. Anthony area, I decided to head over to the north side of East Minneapolis for a some of the more interesting eastbounds on this morning. The Empire Builder was first, followed soon after by the St. Paul Turn off the Wayzata Sub. They are notched out as they soon begin to ascend the grade.

Inevitability in a time of discordance.

I was in two minds whether to post this or not.

I have taken a number of shots of this after picking it a week or so back but not really been happy with any of them. With this shot I used some fill flash with an old manual flash gun while shooting against the sky, inevitable that it should move in the breeze I guess as it`s so light.

In this reed the colours are lovely with reds greens magentas and blues in there, it`s not really turned out how I envisaged but i`ll have another go at some point but it just makes a change from shooting landscapes, speaking of which I am having a clear out from my computer, I have a ton of images to show but i`ll be working on some older images before sending them to one of my hard rives I have been keeping too many on my computer of late so some older images in the next day or so then back to more currant work .

Edinburgh tourist trail

We had wanted to visit Edinburgh. Our previous attempt was in 1975, but we gave up unable to find anywhere to park. This time we stayed out of the city and used the train. But just like this week there was a heatwave, so on day 2 we took the sightseeing bus, passing here while we were walking between stops.

Standing at 2,798 meters (9,180 feet), Pedra da Mina is a relentless climb—a dance of ups and downs, much like our own lives. The path to the summit is never a straight line; it twists, falls away, and rises again, testing resilience with every step.

The black-and-white photograph captures the raw truth of the journey: the dawn sky heavy with clouds after relentless rain, the biting wind, the cold that seeps into my bones. Yet, there it is—the reward. A sea of mountain peaks stretching into infinity, the quiet triumph of having endured.

Life, too, is a series of ascents and descents. We push through storms, face the steep drops, and savor the fleeting moments at the top—where the view makes every struggle worth it. And then, inevitably, we descend again, carrying the memory of the summit to fuel the next climb.

Because the joy isn’t just in reaching the peak—it’s in knowing you had the strength to keep going.

(Photo: The fog-shrouded dawn at Pedra da Mina’s summit, a mosaic of exhaustion and elation.)

"Urban and architectural decay often appeals to the imagination. While some consider the unfinished or collapsing parts of the city as ugly or disturbing, others feel they make an area more interesting than the picture perfect urban fabric. The city’s scars are stimuli for the mind. They raise questions, about memories and imaginations of a foregone past, and of potential futures. They visualise the passage of time and the inevitability of collapse, reminding us of our own transience. On a smaller level, dilapidation shows traces of faded lives, moved communities and shrunken economies. The voids provide space for the observer to interpret them as she or he likes, to fill them with imaginations and meanings.

Decay is a process rather than a fixed image and provokes thoughts and actions. It is not in sync with progress, modernisation and determined narratives, which are characteristic of modern Western society. "

More of an update photo than anything else.

Expect an apocalyptic style build in the very near future, along with some cyberpoc.

A few others and I are setting out the framework for a large build for next year as well.

I now patent this technique :P

Just a prank, just a joke

Also it's my birthday :::::::::::::))))))))))))))

.... inevitably, as my lunch hour came to an end, the sun came out! So I quickly returned to where I'd seen the shieldbug for a sunny photo! 🌞

Upton Magna - Shropshire

St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church was established on October 1, 1957 by His Eminence James C. Cardinal McGuigan, Archbishop of Toronto. The parish was entrusted to the Missionaries of St. Charles (Scalabrinians), a congregation founded by St. John Baptist Scalabrini, whose mission is to serve migrants with compassion and faith.

The parish was founded by two dedicated Scalabrinian priests, Fr. Vincent Lo Savio, C.S., and Fr. Ralph Villella, C.S., who began ministering to the growing community of Italian immigrants in the Thornhill area.

While the church building was still under construction, Masses were celebrated at Veteran’s Hall, providing a temporary spiritual home for the faithful. During this time, the Italian community—many of whom were skilled tradespeople—came together to lay the foundation stone of the church and contribute their labor and devotion to building the parish.

The parish is named for St. Paschal Baylon (1540–1592), a Spanish Franciscan brother renowned for his deep love of the Blessed Sacrament. He is the patron saint of Eucharistic congresses and societies, inspiring the parish’s Eucharistic-centered life and mission.

To this day the furthering of this ministry exemplifies the parish’s ongoing commitment to the Scalabrinian charism of welcoming migrants of all backgrounds.

-

The interior of the church could have been further illuminated photographically but with four of the ornate overhead lamps left on and the rest of the light coming through uniquely stylized stained glass the atmosphere has a kind of golden hour aspect which I decided to simply naturalize in a way

- - - At any rate, I want to say it is in every way healthy to be thankful for a service attitude.

Simply being able to find within oneself the need to be of service is a furthering that contributes to determining the natural position of strength on any platform.

It can be said one has surpassing needs on the mental platform alone of course but of course there is accessible variegation that is -pervasively - necessary in reality the inevitable and of course surpassing all strata of consciousness - namely sensual, mental and intellectual - there is the sheer spirit of determination. ॐ

Wider view of the boats at Abersoch Harbour

Arriving in Abersoch on the Pwllheli road your eyes are inevitably drawn left as you approach the harbour. You can’t help it, it’s just what happens, what has always happened. What you are experiencing is the magnetic pull on your sight and senses of the vividly coloured jumble of buoys – pink buoys, bright yellows buoys and white buoys piled seemingly randomly on top of each other – lighting up the yard at Abersoch Moorings.

It seems to always happen, at least once, even if there has been some warm weather previously, although that has been lacking this year.

These were taken through the windows at our library.
