I finally built the car, and even had decent sunlight for a picture on my favourite fencepost - and not too much wind trying to push it down. The next storm is coming, it's already raining.

Man, I am having an absolute blast doing these Indiana Jones scenes. This one was much easier to put together than the rope bridge scene, however I had to go back and re-shoot on account of some dust on the figures.
Seriously, it's the golden rule of LEGO photography - always dust off your figures before shooting, yet I always seem to forget about this until I'm editing my shots.
Oh well, second time is a charm I guess.
I need to learn more how to avoid reflections though, as the reflection from my lights irks me to no end. Anyone have tips on avoiding that?
Thanks a ton.
Temple of Doom is my favorite Indiana Jones movie, and one of my favorite movies of all time. That said, I've been trying to pick up some of the retired LEGO Indiana Jones sets for photos, but they are not coming cheap.
This one however was assembled via a few Bricklink orders.
I'm not 100% happy with the shot. The bridge came together awesome, but shooting it proved to be difficult. I couldn't get the straight on angle to work, so I opted for a different perspective than in the film.
Hope you like, thanks.
Hang on lady, we going for ride!
Spoiler; Rock wins, when shoved down the barrel of said cannon. :P
The tank featured in Last Crusade, while based on the general shape of the MkVIII Liberty tank, was in fact scratch-built by the mechanical effects team.
Supervisor George Gibbs went to a museum to negotiate renting a French WWI tank, but decided he'd rather build one instead.
The Hatay tank was thus built on the frame of a 25-ton excavator, with 6.4-ton tracks powered by two Range Rover V8 engines added. Steel was used to construct the tank rather than aluminum or fiberglass, to allow the realistically suspension-less vehicle to travel over the rough terrain.
It was transported on a Short Belfast to AlmerÃa, where filming was taking place.
It broke down twice, and moved so slow (12 mph!), that a mock-up of the top half of the tank was created on a flat-bed searchlight trailer, for filming the scenes with Indy riding alongside.
After filming, the tank ended up in the Boneyard at Disney Hollywood Studios, where it languished for years, until finally being brought out, restored, and placed at the exit of the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular show, where it resides today.

My favorite sequence in my favorite movie of the entire Indy franchise, featuring one of my favorite movie props of all time, in a fantastic setting.
What's not to like? :D
The tank is a complete rebuild of this not-so-great build, and I'm much happier with it this time.
The hull doors and the turret hatch open, but alas, I could not get the treads to move, at least right now. :(
The red circle tiles represent the Republic of Hatay's crest, since I was unable to create stickers for it.
Cheers, and hope you all like it!
Lo and behold rival Lego adventurer Johnny Thunder is also in search of the Jade Frog and appears from the foliage "hand over the Frog Indy, I'll always be the best Lego Adventurer"
While hiking in Cappadocia Turkey, we happened on a hole in the mountainside. Climbing in, we found this ancient church carved into the cave. Made me feel a little like Indiana Jones!
Before me brudder Zeekey (Prof. Henry Jones Sr.) and I (Indy) go on another adventure... Let's gets some new AO's from Kuso. Might need some new moves for them booby-traps.
Been wanting to tackle this scene forever. Finally got all the peices to put together an appropriate Indy, and 'borrowed' bricks from the Lost Tomb set (7621) for the background.
Really happy with how this one came out. Now if I could only get my hands on the Temple of Doom set.
Work from 2019 by JXC.
For many mouths a car was seemingly permanently parked in front, then it was tagged & last Autumn a new work was painted on this wall, but in between time managed to get a summer shot of this great piece.

At this year's Bricking Bavaria exhibition again some members of RogueBricks teamed up and presented a large collab. This time we have created an island landscape inspired by the classic Adventurer LEGO theme, movies like Indiana Jones or games like Tomb Raider or Monkey Island.
The contributors to this collab project were:
• Andrea (island in the middle with rope bridge and sandy beach)
• dbodky (dbg/tan water biplane)
• Legopard (Tomb Raider inspired island with Spanish monastery)
• Marcel V. (island in the front corner)
• MGibarian (duck island and small native shrine)
• modestolus (large jungle island with two mountains in the back and small rocky islands around it)
• noggy (island with golden brick shrine)
• rolli (large island with Mayan pyramid and and native hut)
• SkyWalter (small brown biplane)
• Vaionaut (island with teal adventurer outpost, small Dornier Libelle flying boat and dark red/gray Ford Trimotor aircraft in the middle)
• YgrekLego (gray/bright red flying twin engine airplane)
Many thanks to everyone who was involved and a special thanks to Markus for the photo editing!

One of the most classic Indiana Jones lines. Sure, in Raiders Indy utters this zinger before descending into the Well of Souls, but I thought this setup would be more fun.
Thanks for looking and have a great day
Many years ago the character of Indiana Jones inspired many children to love archeology (my sons and me). Thanks to George Lucas &Steven Spilberg. making off in my personal instagram @antonio_hidalgo_balerma
