Our neighbour's cats include Mango and Tango but this young cat does not belong to them and has started appearing in our cat Airbnb's dotted around the garden. Phill has nicknamed him Fandango. We are yet to find out who he belongs to. He has a 'sibling' who Phill calls Spats (photo in the comments below) Both of them are extremely timid, hence the look of surprise on Fandango's face when I put my phone in where he was sleeping.

Naadam Horses Race - Each Naadam includes at least one race of stallions, and at least three races for geldings. The distance traveled by the race is also dependent on the age of horses, 15 km for 2 years, 30 km for horses over 6 years.
Riders are always children, boys or girls, 6 to 12 years. Even if the rider falls during the race the horse is not disqualified. The first five horses are rewarded by people singing their praises, and they are sprayed with fermented mare's milk (airag). The colt which arrived last in the race is also distinguished with the people singing a song of encouragement.

Catching a fine glint 66080 is seen in charge of 6H62 08.15 Immingham to Drax Power Station biomass service . This photo goes back to a fine day out on the Drax branch with the 1Z10 rail photographic group. One of which, Andy Hoare can be seen centrally in the shot.
By standing back I chose to include, the bridge, River Aire and train. To do this two photos were taken and stitched together. The second photo on the right was taken a good few minutes after the first.
It's another tradition in our house to build and decorate a gingerbread house over the Christmas holidays. My kids are getting older (and aren't kids any more) but they still wanted to do this, adding references to "Breaking Bad" and Stephen King's "The Shining" much to the horror of their parents.
These are two blobs of homemade sticky sugar candy used to glue the house together. The large blob is about 5mm across, and the whole thing was shot with the Helios 44M at f/8 on the Kopil Bellowsmat at full extension. Lit with mobile phone torches.
In PP, I have sharpened a little, increased contrast and removed a couple of blemishes.

The Eurasian eagle-owl (Bubo bubo) is a species of eagle-owl, a type of bird that resides in much of Eurasia. It is also called the Uhu and it is occasionally abbreviated to just the eagle-owl in Europe and Asia.
It is one of the largest species of owl. Females can grow to a total length of 75 cm (30 in), with a wingspan of 188 centimetres (6 feet 2 inches). Males are slightly smaller. This bird has distinctive ear tufts, with upper parts that are mottled with darker blackish colouring and tawny. The wings and tail are barred. The underparts are a variably hued buff, streaked with darker colouring. The facial disc is not very defined. The orange eyes are distinctive. Eurasian eagle-owls are found in many habitats; mostly mountainous and rocky areas, often near varied woodland edge and near shrubby areas with openings or wetlands. They also inhabit coniferous forests, steppes, and remote areas. Occasionally, they are found in farmland and in park-like settings in European and Asian cities and, very rarely, in busier urban areas.
The eagle-owl is mostly a nocturnal predator. Predominantly, they hunt small mammals, such as rodents and rabbits, but also birds and larger mammals. Secondary prey include reptiles, amphibians, fish, large insects, and invertebrates.

Australia has approximately 11,500 km2 of mangroves, primarily on the northern and eastern coasts of the continent. Areas where mangroves occur include the intertidal zone of tropical, subtropical and protected temperate coastal rivers, estuaries, bays and marine shorelines. Less than 1% of Australia's total forest area is mangrove forest. Although mangroves are typically found in tropical and subtropical tidal areas,there are occurrences as far south as Millers Landing in Wilsons Promontory, Victoria, Barker Inlet in Adelaide, South Australia and Leschenault Inlet (Koombana Park), near Bunbury, Western Australia. Nearly half of Australia's mangrove forests are found in Queensland (44% of Australia's total), followed by the Northern Territory (37%) and Western Australia (17%). In Western Australia, populations of mangroves are scattered down the coast; the population of the Abrolhos Islands is 300 kilometres south of the nearest population of Shark Bay, and the population at Bunbury is even further south than this (500 km). The Bunbury colonisation may have occurred relatively recently, perhaps only several thousand years ago, with propagules transferred by the Leeuwin Current. The most inland occurrence of mangroves in Australia is a stand of grey mangroves in the Mandora Marsh, some 60 km from the coast. Mangroves protect coastal areas from erosion, storm surge, and tsunamis. The massive root systems of mangroves are efficient at dissipating wave energy. Mangroves retard the tidal movement of water, allowing sediment to be deposited as the tide comes in, and leaving all except fine particles when the tide ebbs. Mangroves therefore build their own environment. The commercial and recreational fishing industries are prime beneficiaries of mangrove forests, which provide breeding and feeding grounds for fish and prawns. About 75% of the fish and prawns caught for commercial and recreational purposes in Queensland spend at least part of their lifecycles in mangroves. In some coastal communities, boardwalks and bird-viewing areas in mangrove forests provide attractions for the eco-tourism industry, for example, at Boondall Wetlands. 23321

Wikipedia: Westminster Abbey is a large and famous Anglican church in Westminster, London. It is the shrine of Edward the Confessor and the burial place of many kings and queens.
