The bending spheres of time, forever self-correcting.
Strobist/technical info:
A single exposure of a unique and intriguing drinking glass. The frame represents a span of 2¼ - inches across.
The scene was illuminated by two Nikon SB900 speedlights CL/CR, fired through Neewer 24" x 24" soft boxes in Manual mode @ 1⁄16 Power. The blue tones were light painted by an LED from above over a 6 s exposure.
The SB900s were triggered by PocketWizard Plus Xs.
Lens: Vega 11U 50mm f2.8.

Caught inbetween two lions. Two sides. Two positions. There is a heaviness in the air when you understand that both will and can have you for dinner. **If you are interested in cooperation please contact me at ewitsoe@gmail.com

This week has been manic, so my thoughts only turned to this week's MM challenge yesterday, in between other jobs. Failed miserably to get something I was happy with, until despondent, I started to look at today's flickr offerings. A lightbulb moment later and thank you flickr ipad app! HMM!
Huycks Bay in between seasons; no longer winter - yet not spring either! (also taken between rain showers) 😊
Everything is in-between a two pieces of bread, our history, our lives, the past, the present and the future of humankind.
Thank you very much for your visits, comments and faves!
I'm gonna bring a little hell
I'm gonna bring a little heaven
You just keep wanting more
With your blood and your whore
I'm gonna bring a little hell
I'm gonna bring a little heaven
It's a beautiful tragedy
You wanna be sick like me
'Cause I can bring a little hell
Inbetween Tom's Place and Crowley Lake is where you can find this tiny grove of pretty trees.
There no need to keep this location secret because thousands of people drive by it every day

St. Mary's Church between the pillars of the Ruegen Bridge.
When I first opened up this image after taking it off the camera, I was struck by its ethereal quality and its temporary ephemoral nature. Within a short period of time it wll have given way to rain, mist or wind, but for a brief moment in time, it said everything about the world it inhabited.
It's well worth viewing on the lightbox, I even upped my usual 800px image size to 1024px so people could see it a little better and get a better sense of being there in person.

Terracotta garland of hearts made by my son when he was in kindergarten or elementary school. His name is engraved on one of the hearts.
“The trick,” he said, “is keeping your eye on the open space ahead and not getting hung up on the obstacles.

According to the current theme, I was supposed to take a photo of something that sits 'in between'. It was accepted a literal and also a more metaphorical interpretation. I wrote by hand the lyrics of one of my favourite songs and I put the roman legionary (from the comic Asterix) with puzzled expression in the middle. It can be so difficult to read between the lines ;-)
