After a few years of inaction, I installed a new Li-ion NP-400 battery in my 2005 Konica Minolta DSLR Dynax 5D to replace the dead original one, and I did a small series of pictures with the two KM zoom lenses to re-evaluate the small Sony 6 MP CCD (still not a CMOS) sensor and optics.

The KM Dynax 5D was the latest DSLR body released by Konica Minolta before to be sold to SONY Corp.

National Stand Up to Racism convoy from UK to the Calais Refugee Camp December 2015.

Stand Up to Racism groups from across London, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff brought material and monetary solidarity with refugees in the Calais Refugee Camp.

The groups also took part in work at the warehouses and distributions to refugees.

Stand Up to Racism gathered with refugees and organisations working on the ground in the camp which is commonly known as 'the Jungle' as it is unfit for human beings.

A petition signing ceremony took place with Julie Ward, Member of the European Parliament for the North West, who joined the convoy from Brussels.

The petition read:

"We, the undersigned, are redoubling our efforts in calling for the British Government to allow refugee people living in the Calais ‘Jungle’ Camp to enter the UK. The people living here want to be in Britain, and should be allowed to make their refugee claims in the country where they want to be.

Political inaction and racism lie at the heart of the squalid, dangerous conditions in the camp. This has led to deaths among both those stranded in such conditions, and those seeking refuge in Britain by trying to make the journey across the channel to where millions of British people want to help and support refugees by welcoming them into communities."
