This is the first of 5 photos I took on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday) afternoon, 28 November 2024, as a photo session titled "Thanksgiving".
I know I could have taken a lot more photos that day, putting particular focus on all the food that Bill and I prepared for our holiday meal that evening. But I preferred to relax and enjoy the day and the meal, rather than document everything we did and ate. I think I chose the right course of action (or inaction).

A rare moment of inaction captured this month. The backstory is that I was below the edge of the couch on the dog bed, paying attention to Moqui. I looked up and there THIS was looking back down at me.

The fire at 18 Owens Landing Court was reported at 2:34 a.m. on Sunday, April 1.
Because the condominium was about 55 feet from the Susquehanna River, fire boats were dispatched; officials credited firefighters from the Susquehanna Hose Company and Charlestown Fire Company who battled the blaze from the water with limiting the damage to the three buildings surrounding the one that was engulfed by flames.
"Without their response to this incident, a much [higher] property loss would have been most probable and in turn could have put many more lives at risk," the fire marshal said in a statement.
