Today I had my first IRL ever! As a friend pointed out to me, IRL stands for In Real Life.
A good Flickr friend is visiting Amsterdam, so we teamed up for coffee and a strawl along the Amstel.
Werenโt it for Flickr, this meeting would never have taken place!
Mi sento un poco solo ora che Anastasia e Pocahontas sono andate vie e vorr...no aspetta non ci credo!
That's what he says he is while doing this. That banister goes all the way up to the second floor where he could fall about 12 feet. And the dentist wonders why I grind my teeth while sleeping.

"Ciao amiche, spero di rivedervi presto!"
Grazie a Pocahontas e Anastasia รจ stato gradevole e meno pesante, sono troppo simpatiche, spero di rivederle presto
Wow! Questo libro รจ cosรฌ carino che continuo a leggere, potrei andare avanti tutta la notte, ma meglio se mi metto a dormire che domani devo fare un viaggio
On the Internet, "real life" refers to life offline. Online, the acronym "IRL" stands for "in real life", with the meaning "not on the Internet". For example, while Internet users may speak of having "met" someone that they have contacted via online chat or in an online gaming context, to say that they met someone "in real life" is to say that they encountered them at a physical location. Some, arguing that the Internet is part of real life, prefer to use "away from the keyboard" (AFK). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_life

This case contains around 450 models, prototypes and geometric studies of various sizes. Together, they form a record of Olafur Eliassonโs work with his studio team and with Icelandic artist, mathematician and architect Einar Thorsteinn (1942โ2015).
Between 1996 and 2014 Thorsteinn and Eliasson collaborated on several projects and researched the geometric forms, symmetries and ratios that structure a number of Eliassonโs sculptures and pavilions.

Olafur Eliasson In Real Life
(July 2019 โ January 2020)
In Eliassonโs captivating installations you become aware of your senses, people around you and the world beyond.
Some artworks introduce natural phenomena such as rainbows to the gallery space. Others use reflections and shadows to play with the way we perceive and interact with the world. Many works result from the artistโs research into complex geometry, motion patterns, and his interest in colour theory. All but one of the works have never been seen in the UK before.
Within the exhibition is an area which explores Eliassonโs deep engagement with society and the environment. Discover what an artistโs perspective can bring to issues of climate change, energy, migration as well as architecture.

Bench Monday : cluttered living room edition
I am the mom with the living room tabled piled high with clutter
I am the mom that will sometimes allow the boys to have Nerf gun wars in the house
I am the mom that stands on furniture not meant for standing on
I am the mom with kids that don't bat an eye when she takes crazy photos
Yup, I am "THAT" mom! The one with the kid who has a mohawk(?) for the Summer!
This is the first year I have given in and let him do it and his hair grows really fast and it's not that drastic and he is 13 and...and...and...
(I could justify this all day but really, what's the harm in a little fun hair cut for the Summer?!)

Oh and Mom, really, it will grow out before school starts again!
