I was going to glue on his eyeballs, but one of them disappeared! Poor, blind owl!

Also, the colors are all janky bc I used the flash and it was way too bright. In conclusion, he's going to be much prettier all framed and with eyeballs.

I think the Zeemonster is changing substantially, so these are for posterity.

At long last, Chris broke through my "knitting block" and had me making real stitches.

Before felting. The first one was knit while watching a football game, the second while learning about copyright law from my husband.

Bloo-She

The moon, Bloo-She is a fish in a sea of stars. The sea is her imagination and her stars are her thoughts and dreams. The silence of the cemetery is akin to the peace of her soul. Slipping among the stories and breathing in the chill calls back memories of misty smiles and fragmented memories.

Breathing deeply, the darkened tunnel releases the distant sound of my dreaming heart. Down I go through the mouth to my world, then out to my night. Looking out from inside these eyes I see the filmy breath of the stars. In my imagination they break free. They scatter across my hair, giggling the entire way and stick there like bats.

Then, i see my fish. It shimmers through my river whispering secrets in my direction. The secrets escape the river in bubbles. If I concentrate, I can almost decipher the secret sounds that escape. I love those watery depths, the wavy gleam in the eyes.

I move on to my forest. It trembles with the anticipation of all life. It loves the strange animals that shelter beneath it boughs. Sometimes I can catch a glimpse of one as it peers out from under a rock, or from behind a tree. Then, the animal, strange and beautiful, will leave. With the flash of a smile they invite me to follow them into the wooded depths, i creep along behind. Later, far away and outside, the Moon smiles and wakes up.

Everything is stuffed, and needs to be put together.

Blogged!

got tired as i worked towards the right side of the composite. think i'll leave the rest for another day...

This is the first really wearable thing I am attempting to knit. I've knit several hats (mostly for my sister) and they haven't really come out all that great (read: I'm a bit of a perfectionist). So now I'm attempting what is hopefully a simple, lightweight sweater. I'm a lot nervous about the blocking and seaming bit of it all.

The light for the top of the knitted TARDIS. This is much closer to the actual shade of blue.
