Disney figurOf the two, Chip is portrayed as being safe, focused, and having a mind for logical scheming. Dale, by contrast, is more laid-back, dim-witted, and impulsive, and has a very strong sense of humor. Originally the two had a very similar appearance, but as a way to tell them apart, some differences were introduced: Chip has a small black nose and two centered protruding teeth, whereas Dale has a large dark red nose and a prominent gap between his buckteeth. Chip is also depicted as having smooth hair on top of his head while Dale's tends to be ruffled.en

Even though Elise and I love the countryside, we were having a grass is greener moment and impulsively packed up our suitcases and determined we were going to skedaddle and run away from home! "Are you sure we should go?" asked Elise. "There are dogs and horses and all the things we love here!" "Well, I think we can take the dogs with us.” I said, still trying to sound confident about our plan. Elise was already a step ahead. "What about the horses?" This was all quickly starting to seem like a disastrous idea. "We're traveling light!” I replied.

And that was it. As soon as our adventure began, it ended. Home is where your heart is. And our hearts definitely don't know how to travel lightly!

Thank you, beautiful Elise, for being a ray of happy light and always an inspiration through your kindness, your remarkably generous spirit and your gift for making everyone you know feel completely at ease. ♥

Happy new week, everyone! xo

A tale:

She was born with the light of dawn. Examining it carefully they realized that it was fragile like glass. Her caretakers did their best and surrounded her with all kinds of care: they cushioned the corners, changed stairs for ramps and prohibited dangerous games. Despite the care, she grew up with an impulsive, determined and rebellious temperament.

When the years began to be counted in April, he fell in love with that adolescent love, naive, irrational and often unjustified. The recipient of her love was tin, prone to cowardice and lies, with an unbreakable hardness, that of selfishness, so it was she who began to break. Her laughter and her spirit became as fragile as her body.

Years went by and also new disappointments. It was losing light and gaining fragility, it was not weak, it was fragile, fragile inside and fragile on the outside. He became isolated from the world, from the blows. Her rebellious and stubborn spirit, little prone to discouragement, was losing momentum, more and more shrunken, reserved and extinguished until one day it disappeared, it fragmented into so many pieces that it was impossible to find it.

At this point we have not given her a name yet, her name was Esperanza(Hope) and surely you know someone like her, take care of her, she is fragile, smile at her, and do not let her get close to the tin hearts because they will shatter her.

Do you identify with the following statements?

Recognizing borderline personality disorder

I often feel “empty.”

My emotions shift very quickly, and I often experience extreme sadness, anger, and anxiety.

I’m constantly afraid that the people I care about will abandon me or leave me.

The way I feel about the people in my life can dramatically change from one moment to the next—and I don’t always understand why.

I often do things that I know are dangerous or unhealthy, such as driving recklessly, having unsafe sex, binge drinking, using drugs, or going on spending sprees.

I’ve attempted to hurt myself, engaged in self-harm behaviors such as cutting, or threatened suicide.

When I’m feeling insecure in a relationship, I tend to lash out or make impulsive gestures to keep the other person close.

HELP THOSE WHO FACE THEIR INNER DEMONS...THEY NEED YOU

The Common Indian spotted Dove mostly seen in the Villages of India.

In general, the terms "dove" and "pigeon" are used somewhat interchangeably. Pigeon is a French word that derives from the Latin pipio, for a "peeping" chick, while dove is a Germanic word that refers to the bird's diving flight.

So this is incredibly and insanely overdue.

And by that, I mean even more overdue than my usual. This is the seventeen kinds of distracted, I've outdone a Golden Retriever puppy kind of overdue. Or that's the story I'm going with.

This was impromptu - a spur of the moment, impulsive endeavor. Juliet was gracious and generous with her time and patience while I fumbled and fiddled and changed my mind about various things. And then I got to stare at the outcome day in and day out for weeks, because I wasn't sure. It needs to be fancy and up to par, because the person sitting for it makes incredible things, and I just wasn't sure it was any of those things. So, like any good procrastinator, I let my mind wander. Let the dust settle, so I could return to it and reconsider.

And here it goes, because at the end of the day I had an idea, and I tend to commit to my ideas. And, not gonna lie, I love this.

Juliet - I cannot thank you enough. I can't capture the magic, any more than I can capture the kindness, the patience, or the sheer chill. I promise I'll have a plan next time. And that it won't take seventeen forevers. Nervous dawdling is a thing.

Upon arrival at the Portal way station you are met with the first of many sentries that stand silent but unending watch and guard over all that happens.

I was going to wait to post this until after I got my new computer so I could do some more finishing touches on it like obliterate some of the speckles on the face, was afraid to do anymore fine editing on this given how balky the old computer is. Still I treated it pretty strongly and I just couldn't wait to post it, yes I can be impulsive.

You may notice I am reflected in miniature and distorted in a few places (one is fairly obvious), another aspect I was going to work to obliterate, but alas I couldn't wait.

Computer still on the fritz, but I promise I will be around later today or tonight and catch up with everyone. Hope everyone is doing well!!

Living through the nerves in my bark..

The Woody aroma lifts me up to your crown..

windy dark and light...I never been here before...or?

These African Buffalo really are huge creatures and alas they have a replication for being impulsive with the result that over two hundred Africans are trampled and killed each year. On our safari we came across huge numbers of them, often grazing together on the open savanna. I must admit though I liked the way this one was looking at me.

My eldest daughter and I went out to a lovely restaurant last night; 'Heavenly Desserts', and as you can probably imagine, it's a place that serve only desserts! All I can say is, WOW. Just, WOW!

Straight after, we then decided to drive to our favourite jaunt, at Dovedale, and took to some steel-wool-spinning (as you do)...

Impulsive? Perhaps.

Fun? Absolutely!

Personally, I blame the ice-cream-chocolate-sugar-overload!

At first, we thought we were trapped inside a giant snow globe and tried to feel around

for the curved thick glass edges

Examining around us for a thoughtless leader

or an impulsive toddler.

We couldn’t find any evidence of this and so

We decided to accept our fate

Dancing around a Rorschach fissure,

Pretending we’d never get cold

Taking handfuls of the stuff and flinging it about

Embracing our inner child.

After months of this, there was snow up our nostrils

along the woodwork

inside our bed sheets

There was snow in our thoughts and in all our ideas

The snow would not stay out.

Then we realized….

This is what happens when you let the outside in.

It gets everywhere

It is messy.

It ruins your life.

But, is there any other way to be human?

Very impulsive idea i had and i tried my hand at making it reality~

When I recently came across that scene on a hike throught the Dresden Heather, impulsively I had to think of the current situation in our society. In so awful many fields two ore more unforgiving seeming parties facing each other. Light against darkness, good against evil ore love against hate. Each of these sides is proclaiming to stand on the right side of the picture, to be the good one and they see only the darkness in the others. This is saddening me badly. because nature, what we all are a part from, never worked out that way. Nature never was aspiring for isolation but always for blending, compensation and balance. It’s not for nothing that mixed forests are one of the most resilent and most bio diverse eco systems existing.

In the floodplains of the Rhine, near the Gelderse village of Doorwerth, lies the famous Doorwerth castle. It has a long history, many renovations and even more noble residents. Including a remarkable woman, about whom a well-known novel has been written.

To get to know the first of those inhabitants we have to go back to the Middle Ages. Ridder Berend van Dorenweerd built a castle here on the banks of the Rhine around 1250. It was not very big yet: the structure consisted of one residential tower and was made of wood.

It has not been there for a long time. In 1260, the Count of Gelre, ruler of the area, ordered the tower to be set on fire. Knight Berend had to be punished for his predatory and violent actions in levying tolls on shipping traffic on the Rhine.

In 1280, a descendant of knight Berend rebuilt the tower. Over the years it has been enlarged a bit.

The most famous name associated with Doorwerth Castle is that of Charlotte Sophie van Aldenburg Bentinck (1715-1800). As a descendant of Anton Count of Aldenburg, she was for a short time the wife of William Count Bentinck (1704-1774), castle lord of Doorwerth.

She was an unusual woman at the time: independent, feminist and impulsive. She led an active love life and was a welcome guest at European royal courts.

Traveled and learned as she was, she maintained an exchange of letters with none other than the great French thinker and writer Voltaire (1694-1778). The writer Hella Haasse (1918-2011) recorded her story in the book Mevrouw Bentinck. Incompatibility of Character & The Great Ones (1978).

Finally, an interesting detail that is also given some attention in the castle. Kasteel Doorwerth has built up quite a reputation as a haunted castle among paranormal believers. For a long time there has been talk of ghosts and white wives who would wander around here. In 2004 British researchers - according to their own words - recorded a ghost on video here.

Well I got back home from staying down at my daughters in Monmouthshire yesterday and with the forecast looking good I decided to have a day in the Lakes. Sandwiches and flask packed and out on the road just before 6am. I hade not been up Loughrigg Fell for a while so I decided to park near Loughrigg Tarn and make the ascent from that side with the fully charged head torch.

It was freezing and as I neared the summit an icy Northerly blast made things pretty chilly. I found this spot with a view over the Tarn towards Wetherlam and waited for the sun to rise. There wasn't too much cloud to catch the colour, so I had to wait until the light started to catch some of the foreground.

It was nice to get out and I enjoyed the stroll up here so much that I then decided to head over to Langdale. I made the impulsive decision to park at the NT Car Park at Blea Tarn and then do a circular route climbing Pike of Blisco. Well that was a bit of a challenge, but undeterred I managed it. The tops were extremely icy with verglas on the rocks making climbing and descending treacherous. I may post some shots I took up there, very reminiscent of my "alpine" days.

Happy New Year to all those brave souls who follow me, or take the time to look at my images and I hope you all have a great photographic year in 2022.

Serenity is maintaining a sense of inner peace even in difficult situations. We gain serenity by accepting the things we cannot change and focusing our energy where we can make a difference.

Fear, anger or desire can create a sense of urgency that triggers us to react impulsively. When this happens, we risk undermining our goals, damaging relationships--even violating our deepest values. By contrast, when we cultivate serenity, we don’t fear our emotions, but we do keep them in balance. We govern ourselves rather than being ruled by external circumstances and our feelings about them.

Meditative practices, contemplation, physical exercise and self-regulation skills all can help us to maintain a serene, peaceful state of mind. This mental state in turn frees us to live thoughtfully and intentionally. When we hold onto our own sense of serenity, we help others to keep theirs.

“Hayvan” is a Turkish expression that is literally translated as “animal”, “cattle” or “lout”. Similarly, people who behave stupidly are referred to as "Hayvan".

Someone is referred to as “Hayvan” when they consciously transgress accepted social norms and tolerated boundaries with their behavior. This is the case, for example, when someone misbehaves, behaves asocial, impulsive or driven by instincts, as well as when someone deliberately provokes, exposes or annoys others.

She is gorgeous, we all know that now. But that is not why I applied for the job. She is also generous and demanding, smart and impulsive, young and experienced. I applied to be the gardener of her dream. I wanted to be challenged and amazed. Every flower, every blade of grass, every little weed, the dirt under her stilettos, the path out the tunnel and the leaves of the olive trees require my full attention. She must smile when she walks through the gate, and that smile is my reward. Paradise gardener is a challenging job indeed and can be exhausting. Then there is this bench under the Tuscany sun, the smell of lavender and the gentle hand that will caress my rugged face. Amazing….

On Ocean Parkway, returning from Robert Moses beach and Capture Boat Basin. The setting sun was so spectacular I impulsively pulled off the road to the middle and jumped out to take this shot. -- September 12, 2021

From the moment I step in to the County of Yorkshire I'm stunned by the beauty of it all. Its huge monolithic stone debris strewn across the landscape after the last ace age, a stark reminder of how nature carved its way through this place and how its inhabitants adapted to the wild terrain.

Follies, I guess, are the wealthy man's graffiti! An impulsive desire to leave their mark on the land for future generations to remember them by. There are several folklore explanations for the erection of Wainman's Pinnacle but I think the only reliable fact for this edifice is its name, after the benefactor who paid for it.

I was following some butterflies when I saw something flying and impulsively landing in the branches of a nearby tree. With due caution I approached until I located the bug. It was this specimen of Aeshna - which I suppose is cyanea - and because of the color of her eyes, she seemed to me to be an adolescent female. Because of its location between branches and at a certain height, I couldn't take better photos... On the other hand, I'm not sure of the species either, but I was very happy with the unexpected encounter since lately I haven't been able to "dance" with the esteemed odonatos.

(Thank you very much for the visits, comments and favorites.)

Hello again!

I got quite a bit of reactions on my last post - disabling the comment and notes feature on my upcoming uploads. I decided to make it this way because there are times that I can’t comment back on all contacts that commented on my uploaded pictures. This was the thought that is rumbling my mind which caused me to post impulsive resolution. (As you can see from my previous post)

Well…. Insights came in and I’m really thankful for these thoughts. They have a point and I’m acknowledging their ideas and perspective. Therefore I’ll not push through turning them off. All will be normal as before - comments and notes are enabled. I hope you’ll bear with me if I can’t comment everyday or as frequent as before. But I’ll make sure every now and then or when I have a free time I’ll be around here at Flickr World and of course on your streams.

I really value all your comments, notes and faves because these make me smile knowing you’re appreciating my works. I’ll make sure that I’ll do my best each day. This is all for you guys!

Thank you to all and have a splendid weekend my friends!

Regards,

Ryan

The young grizzly was happily feeding on tender spring greens, while I stayed in my vehicle and shot away. It was early morning, wet snow had fallen overnight, and presumably my fellow campers were all snug in their sleeping bags. It was just the bear and me.

At one point it passed by my car so closely I could have reached out and stroked its back. But some years earlier I impulsively stroked a rattlesnake's back as it slithered under a boulder, and the snake didn't appreciate that. So... I have learned to keep my hands to myself.

How much does our environment shape who we become? If Dyanna had been born in some placid bucolic landscape, would she have been some mellow, even-tempered creature? None of the suddenness of a sea storm driving her impulsivity or crafting the bouts of rage rolled in like heavy gray rain clouds. If her home within the fist of the Stormlands, battered with its terrifying autumnal storms, had instead been situated in some tropical setting with softer, kinder waves… would she have lost her peaks and valleys? The highs and lows of temperament that mirrored those great battering swells. Was her strength derived from need, like the thick stone of her tower? Whether it was through nature or nurture, the result was the same.

An energetic performance filled with passion where the audience is transported to an underground café in Spain. The illusion is aided, in part, by the exposed brick walls at the back of the stage, not to mention the several audience members who impulsively yelled out “Olé!” For a short while, these exclamations caused heads to turn quizzically, but it didn’t take long for most to embrace these customary interjections of excitement.

Love. That uncontrollable and impressive power that drives the world since ancient times. The inspiration of all romances that history has portrayed. The uncontrollable emotion, the impulsive feeling that attracts us when we are close to a certain person. Not just anyone, but one person. It is a sign from the Universe that we are close to a special being that completes us, that makes us understand why. Which why ? Well, all the whys. Because there is no reason of bearing to live without that reason. Without that person. Indispensable person. A unique been capable of making us one with existence. It's when two become one, and the only possibility for math to agree.

A bit of a rushed plan as I hit the pillow last night. I could see my windows disappearing for a dawn visit to the coast this week. Thursday morning is now booked for the supermarket, as Carla’s Waitrose shop, we thought was arriving this week, isn’t. No wonder she had so many slots to chose from, I smile at her surprise on the availability of slots, “the shops are now open people are not wanting online shopping” was her reasoning, rather than she was booking two weeks in advance. Friday I hope to have another trip to the woods, so this morning was my last chance. I sell a few photo’s of South Tyneside at the Word in South Shields and Herd Groyne is always popular, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to refresh my catalogue of this landmark. I had the idea of taking a photo from the dunes, the tide looked right and there was a chance of an expressive sky at dawn, so I set the alarm for 4:30 and picked up Joe Simpsons “The beckoning silence” knowing I’d read a page or two, a sure way to induce the zzzz. This is the second read of this Joe Simpson book, I’ve read several of his and I don’t know how many times I’ve read Touching the void, what a story! Anyway here is my idea of a photo, It turns out I’m happier with photo’s I took on the shoreline, a familiar composition for me, but I do like my waves.

How much is acceptable? The search for a border between a taken photograph and free, impulsive edited picture.

This, totally random, and impulsive shot, is fairly typical of me,

the train was accelerating away from walking pace, ( i have no idea what the speed limit is here, but it isn't that fast )

i noticed a something, a reflection, in one of the tanks,

so i took the shot,

The sand coloured graffiti added to the illusion, others of the rake had graffiti, it was a complete fluke that i happened to shoot this one.

I have worked it with adjustments and additions, but this is the original, now framed, equally randomly ... the top edge of the framing is actually a shadow and sunlight line across the image, i just utilised it as part of the overall frame.

To see the 2 images created to use this original shot click on the album, "That Cement Tank" just to the right ;-))

ELIXO NON ELIXIR

Elixo non elixir,

fuxo desa elección

e da miña mesma fuxida.

Como a miña é a túa dúbida, día incerto

que enches con bágoas a urna baleira.

A young man walked through the forest

With a flower and coat of green

His love had hair like fire

Her eyes an emerald sheen

She wrapped herself in beauty

So young and so serene

He stood there under the willow

And he gave her the yellow bloom

'Girl my heart you've captured

Oh I would be your groom'

She said she'd wed him never

Not near, nor far, nor soon

'See me now, a ray of light in the moondance

See me now, I cannot leave this place

Hear me now, a strain of song in the forest

Don't ask me, to follow where you lead'

I am so excited to announce my newest blog sponsor! Clover! I'm not going to lie, Im a big fangirl over this store. Not only do I impulsively purchase almost anything I see them do when I'm hitting events, but I spend the next few weeks torturing my friends with the purchases. They have a wonderful eye for the adorably ugly and I'm beyond excited for the chance to work with them! Check out their great work here! www.flickr.com/photos/cloversl/

Also featured is my other wonderful sponsor, Be My Mannequin! As always check out their amazing poses here: www.flickr.com/photos/darkestraveness/

Kiss me ′til we both turn to dust

Always the aftermath of desired lust

Hold me, won't you hold me for the night?

I feel so helpless in your hands

Turn on the red lights

Gettin′ lost in your trance

Hold me, just hold me for the night

Oh

I'll be your sinner

I'll be your saint, baby

Oh

A little devil, your sweet angel baby

I′m so so so impulsive

So so so impulsive

So so so impulsive, babe

I now have a week off work and the chance to make an exciting trip that I have been planning for some time. I’m not an impulsive person, I like to do the research, check the reviews and look at the alternative options before finally reaching a decision, and that’s just choosing red or brown on the bacon sandwich.

So, it will be an early morning start for the long journey ahead, the provisions will be packed for sustenance along the way. I have the route meticulously planned; it will probably involve a pause at the ‘fallen tree seat’, continuing along the lockdown path laid last year, before finally reaching the destination.....................the compost bins at the bottom of the garden.

Living life to the full!

I have 3 videos for today which are the total embodiment of 'sublime to the ridiculous'.

The first is a truly beautiful piece which I’ve listened to so many times over the last week. Glass must be one of our greatest modern-day composers; his music is often dark, menacing, with repetitive themes but always emotional. I love the pairing with this video, it’s also got a waterfall at 3.33!

I think if Keith from The Great Pottery Throwdown were to watch it, he’d be in floods of tears. You can call me Keith from now on.

If that makes no sense then:

…and finally

Hope you enjoyed them, if you didn’t, I’m over it. 😉

What does red say about your personality?

Having a personality color red means you're a determined person who takes action and are not afraid of taking risks. You're a go-getter. People who like red color are assertive, vigorous, prone to impulsive actions, and have variable moods. You radiate such energy, making it exciting to be with you.

For Project 365 2022 Edition: 1/365.

For Project 100 2022 Edition: 1/100

Impulsively I decided to jump in and join two project groups.

Project 365 requires taking a photo every day of the year and posting it. I am not placing any constraints on this one. The photo could be taken with either the Canon Rebel with any lens, or with the Smartphone.

Project 100 requires taking 100 photos on a particular theme during the year. I have chosen these constraints: 1) It must be taken at a work table I have in my office, 2) It must be macro or closeup. I want to make do with the situation available and treat it as a studio. 3) Not a rule, but a guideline: as much as possible I'll use found objects from my walks and combine them with whatever else I have at hand to create a whimsical and/or abstract image.

I had been thinking about trying to do more photography in my office of found objects from my walks. Two days ago I picked up this small spruce cone with the intention of photographing it when I got home. Here it has sat. In the dry indoor air it opened and began releasing seeds. Today I decided on impulse to start the 100x and 365 project. With the same impulse, I grabbed the cone and wrapped it with some nice wool/silk fibre I had on hand for spinning yarn. It was whimsical and unplanned, which is precisely the spirit I want to bring to the project. From there I can spend as much effort as I like composing and processing the photo.

Thank you to everyone who visits, faves, and comments.
