Happy Towel Day to all my Hoopy Frood Flickr Friends!
“For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.”

Nik filters

The first devil's-bit scabious are beginning to bloom, attracting a good number of pollinating insects. They are so eager for the nectar of these flowers that they manage to coexist, like here a Sky Blue (Lysandra bellargus) and a small hymenoptera (Halictus sp ??).
Rather too much taller than it's wide?
The surprisingly tall spire of Norwich's Anglican cathedral, not very well rendered in this old shot from the cloisters.
Even so, nice to see again this shot from my dear old TZ7 [ZS3]
I didn't find this weevil - it found me one night in Colombia when it flew up and bonked into my head, probably attracted by my flashlight. I love all the lumps and bumps, and its huge eyes, and Halloween-themed highlights. Just an improbably wonderful little animal.
