Un lugar de sobra conocido por los fotógrafos nocturnos..pero en el que no se ven muchas vías lácteas porque no es precisamente uno de los sitios más potentes para ello..
Siempre andamos buscando lugares para hacer esa panorámica de la vía láctea perfecta, pero ...¿ por qué no intentar esos sitios cercanos que aunque quizá no tengan un cielo perfecto, tienen otros elementos que pueden darle la belleza necesaria a la foto?
Barcience es un lugar que me encanta...la última vez que estuve allí fue hace ya casi dos años..así que el fin de semana pasado regresé con los compañeros Carlos Sever, Alberto Alvaro David Riquelme para una sesión nocturna que fue rápida pero fructífera.
Sí...la vía no puede competir en potencia con otras...pero...ese castillo vale su peso en oro :)

This was taken during a Subaru-organized photoshoot I did a few days ago. The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) has imposed a curfew on Mauna Kea and bans the public from the summit after 10 PM. This is enormously counter-productive, because it punishes the amateur astronomers, night photographers, hikers, and hunters who enjoy the mountain in a non-disruptive manner while having no effect on the TMT protesters whatsoever. This policy has made photography of the summit area much more difficult, which is part of the reason I haven't posted much recently. Now, if I want to take photos on the summit, I coordinate with individual observatories.
Even though this image is pointed south and was taken several days before the peak of the Perseid shower, I caught two different Perseid meteors, in the upper right and left. Subaru is on the right, and the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) is on the left. The mountain above JCMT is the massive Mauna Loa. The red dot is the Mauna Loa Observatory, where there are several small telescopes and the NOAA collects information about the CO2 content of the atmosphere (and thereby climate change). The three green dots above JCMT are from the Mauna Loa Mars simulation buildings (called HI_SEAS).

Este nuevo trafico de Captrain, sobre papel por malla, es imposible de ver por Madrid de dia ya que pasa entorno a las 00 de la noche por los enlaces, pero... Debido de nuevo a las incidencias en la linea de Algeciras, se ha dejado ver por segunda vez en su segunda circulacion de dia por la capital, en concreto con 14 horas de retraso.
En la foto vemos a la Bitrac 601.007 de Captrain, con el nuevo trafico de palanquilla de JSV entre San Roque y Ponferrada, a su paso por Montecarmelo, esta vez, con una composicion mas variada y mas vistosa que en la 1era circulacion de dicho tren.

Hoy San Carlos ha amencido con la sierra del Montisa que corona la ciudad, completamente nevada. Un buen momento para poner éstas imágenes hechas hace pocos dias, y que representan casi paisajes imposibles, en un lugar como éste y con ejemplares como éstos en pleno litoral

"Next time you have an argument, let the other person win."
This is a tough one, despite the fact that I try to stay as far away from confrontation and arguments as possible, I still don't like to lose them. I'm a competative person by nature and to me, giving up isn't easy especially if I'm really passionate about the topic.
I found myself in a bit of argument today and I remembered the Soul Pancacke theme, "let them win" I thought to myself. As difficult as it was I just stood there and listened to the other person and then finally said "Alright, I see your point", and then walked away even though I could have gone on for hours. In the end though, I realized that it wasn't an argument that needed to have a "winner" or "loser" and that by me shutting up, saved us from pointless bickering.

Muy buen fin de semana a todos.
Y por varias razones, la principal es que EDF tiene ahora mucho más tráfico y no se pueden permitir el lujo de ocupar vias de esta forma. En la foto vemos a una 432 en un estado impecable, a la replica de la Mataró, a alguna otra locomotora de vapor pequeña y a mi con 5 años. Todo este material y mucho más se trajo a la Estación de Francia para una exposición hace varios años, no sé el año concreto pero sería mas o menos el 2000

Human tends to imposed their animals on any reasons they can rose its, whether or not the human demands it.
Please mercy them, at least you'd proud yourself you're not an animal....
