He must have imagined this picture - when all of a sudden he started to climb up the canyon in the middle of the night, while we were taking pictures of the milky way in the BLM Wilderness Study Area in the Bisti Badlands of New Mexico.
Abused beyond imagination
Used without shame
Sold without emotion
Ministered without understanding
of the origin.
Actions that are the foundation
speak so loudly
War in its convuluted meaning
Egotistical flocks
crushing its essence.
The bile that rises in the throat
choking humanity
without a chance to breathe.
The true
and unspoken words
for Love.
It’s a cruel cruel world, to face on your own, a heavy cross, to carry along, the lights are on, but everyone’s gone, and it’s cruel.
Tesseracts and other shapes within them selves revealing imagination and potential.
Maybe we can all agree to disagree that there was, “There was a crooked man,” or at least hold different notions of who the original is and how other visionaries have seen within the, “little crooked house.” One starting point could be, “—And He Built a Crooked House—,” by Robert A. Heinlein first published in, “Astounding Science Fiction,” in February 1941.
There again that work looks in on this one,
There was a crooked man and he went a crooked mile,
He found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile;
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all liv'd together in a little crooked house.
James Orchard Halliwell set this in print in, “The Nursery Rhymes of England,” 1842 followed in 1849 with, “Popular Rhymes and Nursery Tales,”this was a sequel to, “The Nursery Rhymes of England.” Halliwell was banned from The British Museum suspected of taking documents from Trinity College, Cambridge, no prosecution ensued, but even his father in law a noted bibliophile refused to see him, or his daughter again. Halliwell literally created books within books and pages coming from and leading off to further illumination as he cut from old books and made scrapbooks of his cuttings. The destructive process of his book cutting and pasting was enough to close doors and have him excluded from rooms whilst he made new perspectives and gave food to fuel imagination opening doors that others could never follow him through.
I feel sure that there are those still enraged by his actions.

Pure Imagination
Gene Wilder
Hold your breath
Make a wish count to three
Come with me and you'll be
In a world of pure imagination
Take a look and you'll see
Into your imagination
We'll begin with a spin
Traveling in the world of my creation
What we'll see will defy explanation
If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanna change the world?
There's nothing to it
There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there, you'll be free
If you truly wish to be
If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanna change the world?
There's nothing to it
There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there, you'll be free
If you truly wish to be
My version of the Sydney Opera House from this mornings shoot. We were guided through the building, headsets on, cameras in hand, madly changing settings as the light and different room conditions changed from minute to minute. This was a great challenge and you really had to know your camera settings.
This is a 3 image composite, one of the inside of the sails, looking up towards the ceiling of the main sail, the second of the seats inside one of the theatres, and the third, inside, looking out at what most people around the world know and recognise as "The Opera House".
Plenty more to come from this shoot for me.
But for now, hope you like "Pure Imagination"
Cheers, Mike

Part of an amazing little fitness park just off of Market St near The Chattanoogan Hotel. Three of these large bridge structures are on hand cranks that encourage playful exercise. Chattanooga is earning its "great city" reputation. Well done!
another Winter seascape from the West Coast.... this time i ventured out to Mettams Pool in Perth only to find the conditions a little bit too rough so instead i went a little further up the coast and found this little spot...
i have been shooting a few long exposures in recent times... i found that when there is not much else going on, they push the boundaries of imagination just that little bit further...

dazzle my imagination
let me enter a world
where i can experience
sunrises and sunsets
a hundred times a day
where i can laugh
with the stars and
dance with the moon
where i can tiptoe
across a blue ocean
and play with the clouds
dazzle my imagination
usher me into your smallness
so that i may experience
your grandness yet again
This one was shot after landing in a deserted spot after flying for approx. thirty minutes. The view was spectacular!
Imagination. My friend, shadow, tease, salvation. The light from it has never dimmed. I seek to frolic with other imaginations. Isn't the only thing we really need is time to play?
What is going on here? -- I am stuck. My movements have become very limited. I need to delve very deep into my imagination to create a way out.
When I travel in fantasy,
the mind finally free,
Begins exploring the space
among the multiverse
discovering passages and
and mysteries hidden to closed eyes
New fantastic worlds
Where everything seems possible
Where all is harmony
Known objects
Seem to have a dimension of their own
And coexist with the inverse of proportion
This is what my
Mind sees when I leave
Guidance to the imagination...
Your imagination
is your preview
of life´s coming
attractions.
