For inspiration, we looked at how John Hernandez creates hybrid images in his work, Hi-C Avenger

This is an image transfer of the colored pencil drawing of the buckskin horse onto polymer clay. I then designed the rest of the piece to make a pendant. The clay resembles roping wrapped around the picture.

This has been such fun I am sad to see it draw to a close.

The first of several "leftover" landscapes - I cant bear to see good paint go to waste, so whenever I have extra paint on my palette, I use paint quick backgrounds for future use. This is an image transfer of a photo I took while out for a bike ride.

An image transfer from a slide of a dumpster on the Hofstra campus. To do an image transfer, you use slide film, project in onto polaroid film, then peel the polaroid apart, and press the image onto wet paper. All of these were taken and printed in Spring '06.
