Martha Graham down in the right corner, and a romantic picture on a packing tape transfer. The portrait is by Julia Margaret Cameron -- "Ellen Terry at age of sixteen, Camera Work, Number 41, January 1913".
TRADED TO PAUSEABILITY.
Mounted on scrapbook paper, with some rub ons, other clippings. I used a little colored pencil on the frog and flower to try and blend things together a bit.
This is probably my favorite floral image and I use it a lot. In this version, the sweet daisy is layered on my khaki blend of Premo clay, to which I added Ranger Mushroom, Cranberry and Antique Linen embossing powders. After I transferred the image, I stamped the sides with a floral texture sheet.
I took this closeup so you could see the effect of the embossing powders. It really adds to the vintage look!
Prismacolor penciled background baked, paper on, then removed. Image transfer of butterfly layered on baked bead then baked again and removed.
For the current theme which is 'The Jumble (Rummage) Sale' and had to include a background technique, fabric, metal and a triangle.
Background - I used the 'Layered Masking Tape' technique described by Claudine Hellmuth in her book 'Collage Discovery Workshop: Beyond The Unexpected' It's a very easy technique of applying random shaped strips of masking tape onto the background, burnished down well, gel medium, then acrylic paints buffed off with a paper towel.
Fabric - part of an old shoe lining (it doesn't smell honest!) onto which I applied an image transfer.
Metal - the key
Triangle - the lace at the top right hand corner.

These image transfers were for my AP 2D Studio Art Concentration.
The basis of my Concentration was to show girls from an empowering and self confident viewpoint.
I used my friends as models, as they all look different and each have their own feministic views.
The actual aesthetic of the work was based on Riot Grrrl zines.
I love they way they turned out, and I ended up getting a 4 out of 5 for my AP score.
AP US History was another story...
Starting to re-explore some of my old student (college) work shot and printed between 1995 and 1998.
I believe I shot this in early 1997 in the area around 900 Monroe, Grand Rapids, Michigan. This was part of an independent study I did my Junior year that I plan to reshoot this Spring.
Analog on top of analog. This was shot with my Pentax Super Program on T-Max and printed on Ilford using a cold-light enlarger. The print was sepia toned and copied to Ektrachrome. I printed that slide to Polaroid 669 using a Daylab Jr. and transfered the image to Arches watercolor paper.
The sad part is that the original T-Max had some issues in the developer. My initial test prints had some spots that appeared to be pits in the film. Rewashing the film made the pits much worse, so all I have of this shoot are the test prints and some unusable negatives.
Anyway, they made for great transfers, and I plan to post these along with the originals, and some current-day comparisons.
This pennant is one of 12 that will comprise a holiday banner. The theme for this particular pennant was 'I believe in fairies." Its an image transfer with lace, ribbon and rhinestones.
My entry in the PCAGOE December challenge, "Seasonal". I saw the word that way years ago on a Christmas card, and it had to use it! The focal is an image transferred onto glittery white polymer clay, and covered in epoxy resin. The bail is an old earring, and there are 4 round beads with image transfers of holly (also covered in resin), and some assorted glass and gemstone beads, and finally bronzey chain with a handmade hook clasp.
