This hospital is in a former mining village in the mountains, it was once the biggest exporter of asbestos in the world until the 1980s when it was abandoned. I have explored maybe 1000 individual abandoned places over the years, this hospital is in my top 3 creepiest places I've been to. Strangely, in amongst a pile or rubbish, we found documents dated 2010 with names of patients even though the whole area was very abandoned at the time and also mentions of a popular Jewish doctor that was at the hospital in the 1980s. We also found unopened plastic bags with an IV drip and syringes, they looked quite new - Troodos

Were I bicycling on the wrong side of the road, I might ponder, "Why in the hell did they draw this cartoon chara...........splat!" I was not sure where to place the parentheses. These Cyprus trains are roughly over 100 years old. The Cyprus Railway was a railway network that was in operation from 1905 to 1951. At the time in 1905, Cyprus was under British colonial rule and it was them who introduced this incredible revolutionary technology, with many constructed-in Plymouth, UK and transported to Cyprus. Up until this point, the modes of transport were by camels and donkeys. In Cyprus, there were a total of 39 stations and stops along a 37-mile route from Famagusta in the east to Evrychou in the west. The railway network was used for various reasons, including passenger travel, with stations located every two miles, with signs in Greek, English and Turkish. The government also used the railway for transporting mail, timber from Troodos and freight from the port of Famagusta. In total during its 46-year history, the Cyprus railway train line carried over 7 million passengers and 3 million tons of goods and minerals. I feel like people do not fully understand how much life changed for our species between 1900 and 2000. To give some perspective, chariots were invented in 2000 BC and were the fastest form of transportation known to man for around 3800 years until trains in the 1800s. then 100 years later we were flying, and 66 years after that we were on the moon.
