Here are a couple guys using the ODOT Vest at Oakland, CA Marathon
"On March 22, 2015 Wade Pope and I had an opportunity to use our new vests in support of the Oakland, CA Marathon.
Wade was on his motorcycle and I was on bicycle.
We were Course Marshals and helped with First Aid, Traffic Control, monitor the runners and crowd control.
There were about 10,000 runners and thousands of spectators.
These vests can carry a lot of weight. The only part I did not use was the camel back sleeve. I could not find my pouch before the race. I will make sure I have it for the next event.
Loved all the pockets and slide in spaces. The Velcro name tabs helped because I could make my own badges for this event and attach them to the vest for easier identification.
Having the ANSI II level of visibility made me feel safer that I was readily visible to traffic and runners as well.
Thanks for the great vest. Hopefully we can get some other members to invest in these as well.
