This beach is part of Luna town in La Union province and located along the San Juan-Luna Road just after the boundary of Balaoan town. It is situated off the national highway along the Ilocos coast and therefore doesn't attract a lot of attention.

It's not really an Island as it's called but Immuki is a collection of coral gardens and lagoons just off the coast of Paraoir in Balaoan town, La Union province. In low tide you can walk less than 200 meters to these coral gardens, swim in the refreshingly cool and clear waters and observe the variety of colorful marine life. During high tide rafts are provided to take visitors to the lagoons.

Ilocos Sur might be famous for its heritage and other historical sites but it also has an abundance of waterfalls. Most of these are situated at towns located in the Cordillera Mountain Range. Pinsal Falls is one of them . It is located in Santa Maria town near the boundary of Abra province.

Now in our word for today from the Word of God, Jesus is describing a window of opportunity that is easy to miss, an exciting scene that you have to capture when the moment is there. It's in John 9:4. Jesus says this: "As long as it is day, we must do the work of Him who sent Me. Night is coming when no one can work." He's describing what I'll call the "work of God window" - this brief spiritual opening during which you can accomplish an important spiritual objective. Then, just like those photo opportunities that we've missed, that golden moment is gone.

There's a special timing in God's work, and we need to be able to see what time it is in our lives and in the lives of others, and then we have to respond quickly and accordingly. When the window opens and God is moving, it's time to drop everything and work like mad and follow Him in the direction He's going.

The picture may never look like this again - and it won't look like this for long. So grab this golden moment!

San Augustine Church and Bell Tower – one of the oldest churches of Ilocos Sur, it was built in 1590 with Fr. Montoya, as the first parish priest. The Augustinian friars named it after St. Augustine, the Patron Saint. The church was damaged during the World War II but was reconstructed in 1950. The restored facade is of neo-gothic design mixed with pseudo-Romanesque materials and elements. Its grandiose design afforded a reminiscent of the old Spanish architecture using indigenous materials, which are of bricks and slime.

......It was built on March 31, 1892 under the Spanish government on a high hill overlooking the scenic Cape Bojeador, where galleons passed by. Its purpose is also to guide ships away from the rocky coasts of the town. It still continues to operate with new lenses run by solar panels.

History has it that the parish of Paoay church was founded by Augustinian Missionaries in 1593 -- which is why this church is in Paoay, and where its cornerstone was laid only in 1704 -- is called St. Augustine Catholic Church. The church was damaged by an earthquake in 1706 and 1927. Its construction primarily was intended to withstand earthquakes. The huge belltower was used as an observation post for Katipuneros during the revolution in the late 1800s, and was later used by local resistance forces during the second world war when the Philippines was occupied by Japan.

Paoay is probably one of the best known churches in the Philippines. Constuction for this church started in the early 1700s, and was completed before 1900. The walls are more than 1 meter thick -- made of coral stones. The design of the church is a mixture of Gothic, Oriental and Baroque influence. No one mentioned though how many Filipinos died in building this church, and how many were forced to by Spanish conquerors bringing their religion with them -- to oppress and scare the people.

This church is now one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. It currently is a property of the Diocese of Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

This is the view to the east, with the Northern Luzon mountain range in the background, and the tip of Bangui Bay in the lower left. This image shows 9 of the 15 turbines of Bangui Bay.

These 15 wind turbines(called Vestas NM82) provide a total of almost 25 MW of power and is part of the Luzon Island grid in the Philippines. Height of these windmills is 70 meters. Each of the three blades has a length of 41 meters. The wind swept area of the rotors is approximately 5,280 square meters. Each windmill is 326 meters apart, almost 1/3 of a kilometer.

Location of the turbines is at Pebble Beach, on the shores of Bangui Bay, Ilocos Norte province. These turbines is the first power plant of its kind in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.
