An iconic location in Glen Etive. Bit unlucky with the light and the water level (yes there was not enough rain in Scotland to feed the glens!!!) but I really liked how everything seems to be leading to the mountain in the middle. It was impressive how many people were in the area despite the poor conditions. I found out later there were all a part of a photo-holiday/course from America enjoying the beauty of Scotland. Once they left and the area was peaceful and quiet I set up and was waiting for some motion in the cloud.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my image.

Looking Glass Rock located within Pisgah National Forest in Transylvania County, North Carolina, is a favorite destination of hikers, rock climbers and in general enjoyers of the great outdoors. A favorite stop along the Blue Ridge Parkway each and every time I pass the overlook in the vicinity. never knowing what the view will include. Fog around the mountain, amazing sunlight reflecting from the rock surface, or just warm colors bouncing off cloud as the sun rises in the east...

Mówią, mówią, że

Mówią, że to wszystko skończy się

Koraliki wspólnych lat i zim

Fotki gdzie na zawsze ona z nim

Mówią, mówią, że

Mówią, że to nie jest miłość... nie

Że się tylko zdaje im

Że dawno już przegrali z losem złym

Mówią, że już nie

Mówią, że to wszystko skończy się

Wspólnie radowanie byle, czym

Tym, że on w jej myślach - ona w nim

To, co mam

To, co się zdarzyło nam

To pachnący chlebem dom

Z roześmianą buzią twą

To, co mam

To, co się zdarzyło nam

Twój policzek, kiedy mróz

Na pierzynie Wielki Wóz

Niech mówią, że to nie jest miłość

Że tak się tylko zdaje nam

Byle się nigdy nie skończyło

To wszystko, co od ciebie mam...

This the world famous Sydney Opera House. I was fortunate enough to stay about 2 blocks from this iconic architectural marvel that is located in the Circular Quay along the Sydney Harbor. Though I was only in Sydney for 4 days, I saw some of the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets I've ever witnessed. I pinched myself several times as this one unfolded :)

Though there were thousands of people visiting this place every single day, I was really lucky to enjoy this brisk winter sunrise in complete solitude. Just me, a few seagulls, and the occasional ferry boat passing through (luckily not at the time of this shot). I honestly couldn't get enough of Opera House and shot it several times at all different times of day. There is fantastic light show that they put on each evening where they display a kaleidoscope of colors along the sides of the arched walls of the structure.

This area is known as the Circular Quay and is home to an amazing network of passenger ferries and tour busses that can take you virtually anywhere in Sydney. And believe me, there is lots to see in this truly beautiful city which I hope to share more of in the coming weeks.

Have great week everyone and if I haven't gotten around to your stream just yet, I should be there shortly. Cheers mates!

Something a bit different. I was at a hill climb meet in Droitwich and this iconic piece of British Design and engineering flew past my lens, it would have been rude not to!

Geoff, who normally gets dragged out on my adventures, abandoned me this weekend for some air show or other, so this one is for him.

Horseshoe Bend | Page, Arizona | USA

One of the most iconic landscapes in Page, Arizona is the Horseshoe Bend—a spectacular sweeping view of the Colorado River from the edge of a cliff. It is magnificent at every angle, especially during sunset. It is very fulfilling to finally immortalize my version of this iconic place in a photo.

Daan Roosegaarde created a light art project for the Afsluitdijk. Darkness lovers held their hearts. But the result is a subdued ode to the art deco elegance of the sluiceens.

From now on the lock buildings at the dike light up through headlamps of passing cars. The light art project 'Icon Afsluitdijk' has officially been opened. "In this way we wanted to strengthen the beauty of the Afsluitdijk," says designer Daan Roosegaarde. "I've looked at how I could emphasize what was already there."

Just another shot of the mountain shot billions of time...

Citadel, Berat , Albania

The Onufri National Museum of Icons is located in the inhabited quarter of Berat Castle. This museum contains a rich iconographic collection and some religious service items. It is housed in a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, built in 1797 on the foundation of an older church with the same name.

It features the work of perhaps the most remarkable Albanian iconographic painter, Onufri, active during the 16th century. His pieces are notable for the great realism and individuality introduced into his subject’s facial expressions and body positions, breaking with the strict conventions of the time. He was also the first to introduce the color pink into icon painting. The secret behind making this color was not passed on and died with him. His works are also noted for their intense use of colors and use of natural dyes.
