Inspired by a woman I heard about in Quebec who built a complete Ice Castle out of coloured Ice and my friend Tony who builds igloos for his kids, I figured I'd start testing food colouring to make coloured building blocks.
Stephen was a perfect cook, everything he served was exquisite. I've enjoyed the meal tremendously.

Take your everyday icecube tray, fill it up with water mixed with foodcoloring, attach your macro lens to your body, get as close as you can, add more foodcoloring, and klabang, done. Have fun!
I find something really beautiful and sad in this shot. I was just goofing around and hadn't really expected to keep this one. Otherwise, I would have framed the puddle a little better.

This was another photo I took for the 'water' round of the DSLR Photography magazine competition, but I decided to enter the wine glass one rather than this one.
Hot Freon makes the ice peel off; it only takes as fast as 150-180 seconds.
The importation of water drain function makes ice cleaner and crystallizes the ice by draining out the water in the cold water tank.
