ChargĆ© dāAffaires Michael Heath delivered the keynote speech on āStrengthening Indo-Pacific Partnershipā at the first-ever Thai alumni gathering of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on Friday, March 26 at C asean Ratchada, Bangkok.
In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the IVLP, the U.S. Department of Stateās flagship professional exchange program, the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok partnered with the Foundation for Institute of Social Enterprise Development (FINSEDT) to organize a series of IVLP alumni gathering activities this year. For the past 80 years, the IVLP has connected current and emerging leaders from around the world to the U.S. and has grown to include over 225,000 alumni.

This coffee shop and vocational training center supports people with learning differences transition to sustainable employment opportunities and living fulfilling lives. It promotes skills for life, skills for employment and skills for independence. What a great business model!

On October 22, more than 200 USG alumni of IVLP, YES, PELI, TEA, U-Grad and English Access exchange programs and civil society representatives attended 6th annual reunion of AJK Chapter of PUAN through the support of U.S. Mission in Pakistan. The Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmirās Acting President and Legislative Assembly AJKās Speaker, Honorable Shah Ghulam Qadir, USG IVLP alumnus, Inspector General of Police and Additional Chief Secretary participated in the reunion. Through video-message, the U.S. Embassyās Country Cultural AttachĆ©, Dr. Daniel Mattern appreciated the efforts of alumni and their work to strengthen the people to people ties between Pakistan and the United States. The Fulbright Program is the United States' flagship foreign exchange program, and

The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of Stateās premier professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience this country firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts. Professional meetings reflect the participantsā professional interests and support the foreign policy goals of the United States.
Each year nearly 5,000 International Visitors come to the U.S. on the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). More than 200,000 International Visitors have engaged with Americans through the IVLP, including more than 500 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government.
