Assistant Secretary Marie Royce welcomes the diplomatic community to the launch of the International Visitor Leadership Program's (IVLP) 80th Anniversary celebration at the National Museum of American Diplomacy. For 80 years, IVLP has promoted mutual understanding as the U.S. Department of State's premier professional exchange program.

Members of the Tulsa Global Alliance meet with Assistant Secretary of State Ann Stock at the U.S. Department of State on February 17, 2011. The members were in Washington, DC attending the annual National Council for International Visitors’ (NCIV) National Meeting.
This year marks NCIV’s 50th anniversary and its half century partnership with the US Department of State. Members and volunteers from 90 community based organizations around the country spent three days sharing best practices, exchanging ideas and learning more about the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) exchanges.state.gov/ivlp one of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ Premier Exchange Programs.
The Tulsa Global Alliance hosts International Visitors who travel to the United States on this program. They arrange professional meetings, cultural activities and home hospitality for visitors from around the world.
Forty-seven elected officials, political party leaders, and civic activists from around the world are participating in the IVLP project “The U.S. Electoral Process” to observe U.S. approaches to political campaigns and election administration. The participants from 45 countries were welcomed to the State Department by Assistant Secretary for Educational and Cultural Affairs Marie Royce; the Director of the Office of International Visitors Anne Grimes; and IVLP program officer Stephen Taylor. The meeting also included presentations by officials of the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor:

In April 2013, participants of WEAmericas took part in the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) annual exchange and traveled to the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. The 13 Latin American women business owners met with organizations like the Cherie Blair Foundation and Wal-Mart Foundation, as well as local businesses and organizations. The women discussed market expansion of their businesses via funding available from universities, corporations, businesses, and private sector associations.

Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Galt (ECA) and Ambassador Brownback (IRF) meet with religious leaders from 26 countries to further the conversation begun by Secretary Pompeo and DRL/IRF at the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom hosted at the State Department earlier this year. The participants are part of an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) exchange.
