Built in 1953, restored Illinois Terminal GP7 #1605 has been part of the collection at the Illinois Railway Museum since the early 1990s. The venerable Geep was donated to the museum by Norfolk Southern, from what I can tell. Later becoming ITC #1506 and N&W #3406, the museum chose to repaint the unit into its as-delivered paint scheme and number. Seen here as part of the Locomotive Review during the annual Diesel Days festival.

I posted a similar shot much earlier from here, but this one shows the whole depot. Illinois Terminal train 201 passing the old depot/sub station at Union, Logan County IL. June 1977.
Not to be outdone by 4506 and 504, Illinois Terminal 1605 gets a crack at the IRM mainline, leading the caboose train through Johnson's siding east of Union, IL. The second day of Diesel Days sure did not disappoint in the high hood department, and there was more to come later. Very appropriate sign on the left too.
