Thanks to Kellie (74LimeLane) I realized that I had patterns right here around the house! This plate alone has 3 different patterns on it. I figured one of them had to be photogenic.

Went out last night to do a startrail. I headed out to Saguaro Lake but couldn't find a good spot considering I had to get the car to wherever I was going to set up because it's too cold to stay outside. So I didn't find a good spot on the lake therefore I headed over to Sycamore Creek, an area Dalton and I go offroading sometimes. Since I was in my volvo, I couldn't go deep into the trail unfortunately...next time I'll take the jeep hopefully because I just put the top on it today (to keep it warm).
I kind of don't like this startrail much at all to be honest... it's slightly out of focus and not very interesting. I tried to do a lot of editing by doing a batch edit in lightroom and stacking those but that didnt turn out well, so this is a stack of the original RAW files then edited in lightroom and then a little in CS5. Whatever, you win some and you lose some.
Oh yeah, my time in this trail was cut short when a truck came up the hill I was on and shined their brights into the frame. It was about an hour of shooting though so I wasn't too disappointed.
For setup, I put a hand warmer with a hair tie (thanks to Taylor) around my lens to keep it from fogging over. I'm not sure if it would have fogged had I not had the hand warmer or not. Whatever, still a fun night out. Much to learn on this still. Hopefully soon I will be getting a trail that starts a little past sunset to get color in the sky. I want to do more landscape shots but in order to do that I need to leave sooner for the light!
Novels are fun. Byeeee.

It was really dark and I don't have real control on the lens as it is a barrel lens.

@ ISO 400 this film is overrated and lacks in shadow detail. Chromogen B&W films really get ugly if shadows show no texture.
