This is Gracie Jo, the semi-feral cat we are trying to coax indoors. Today's forecast was for a "wintry mix", lots of wind, etc. At lunch time, Gracie Jo ran pretty quickly to the back door (before I could take her food up to her heated area in the workshop), so it seemed like a good time to try whisking her inside. I got her into the laundry room without her biting or scratching me. Just about that time the wind picked up and the rain turned to sleet & I think Gracie Jo must have been okay with being inside for a little while.

This is probably the most difficult photo manipulation I've ever done.. I was about to give up but I'm happy with how it turned out!
Here's a before and after!
Baldy is the highest peak in the Santa Fe area.
A little further away are some higher peaks, nevertheless it is pretty impressive, particularly if it is snow capped and catches the last glow of the sun.
I admit, it's a snapshot, but one I couldn't resist. Another example of my roadside photography

It was a foggy morning here today and I couldn’t resist trying to capture some of the mood. This shot was looking down my driveway where a glimpse of the first rays of dawn were attempting to break the gloom.
The Universe is singing the same song (as my horoscopes!)...

The Pazhassi Dam is a stone masonry diversion structure in Kannur district, Kerala, that was constructed across the west flowing Bavali river near Veliyambra. The dam meets the drinking water requirement of Kannur district. The reservoir is famous for its scenic beauty as seen in this shot.

Jakriborg is a housing estate in Hjärup between Malmö and Lund in Scania, southern Sweden. Jakriborg's architectural style is inspired by pre-industrial town architecture found in the coastal region of the southern Baltic and the North Sea. Of which the old Hansa City of Lübeck is the best known.
Well, the result here is no mistake - but it is due to one.
This is the central, octagonal tower as seen from the interior of Ely cathedral. It's current look is due to a collapse to the tower structure in 1322, probably due to building works in the vicinity. The tower dated to Norman times (work on the cathedral we see today began in 1083) and the tower was not so much completely replaced as re-styled to its current, quite eye-catching Gothic look.

Zenaida auriculata (Eared dove / Tórtola torcaza)
The Eared Dove is a resident breeder throughout South America from Colombia to southern Argentina. It is a close relative of the North American Mourning Dove. Gopło Lake is the largest natural reservoir in Kujawy, being one of the largest lakes in Poland. It is a post-glacial channel lake with a meridional course. The Noteć River flows through its entire length.
The coastline is varied, with numerous bays and peninsulas, and there are also a large number of islands.
The length of the lake is 25 km and the maximum depth is 16.6 m.

This is one interesting bird that we have only spotted at Elk Grove Park. The domestic Swan Goose came from Asia. the Swan Goose, native to eastern Eurasia and sometimes called a Chinese goose. A domestic swan goose usually has a large knob at the base of the bill (the wild form lacks this). It also can show a white patch behind the bill. It varies from wild type coloring (mostly gray with a dark line down the back of the otherwise white neck) to pure white. This species is very territorial and had no fear walking up to our dog Louie and hissing. Yes, our Louie got the message and backed off very quickly.
