The fall colors and wood ducks in breeding plumage are very popular in this time and place. A lot of people come to that park to see them. They get very friendly and come very close, due to some people feeding ducks. This is a shot done on the less sunny part of the bay where they hangout. Even if the keeper rate is much lower on this side I kind of like the result as the colors are softer. If you get there try taking shot in low light even if it's not intuitive that would work. You might be surprised by the results.

Inspired by the AGB’s architectural space and the cast of characters who wander these halls, Z’otz* have introduced a new eccentric troupe of creatures onto the scene with their expansive mural installation. The artist collective works spontaneously and intuitively, using mixed media and clay to explore their subconscious through drawings and sculpture. Their vivid storytelling explores themes of memory and Mesoamerican mythology through humour and collective action.

When I was a kid, we had a pond in the cow pasture that grew cattails. They were magnificent and made great swords to whack each other with (I had 4 brothers and a sister). This is not a realistic scene as that pond was a mucky, muddy depression in the field that dried up in the hot summers in California. There was star thistle and tar weed. Yuck.
This is what I wished it had looked like. We can remake our memories as we wish if we have paint and the chance to play. I kept the cattails and re-invented the rest.
May you have as much fun remaking the memories you would like to see differently. I would much prefer to base this effort on the beautiful images that Flickr provides.

endlich einmal wieder in gross malen.
ich habe eine künstlerin gefunden, die 1x die woche einen raum und ihr material zur verfügung stellt.
in der ferienwohnung habe ich zuwenig platz und material….
da arbeite ich an kleinen bildern, zeichnungen. sowie an meinen “kunst für die hosentasche” büchlein.
aber das bedürfnis nach grosszügigen bewegungen und grossflächigem malen ist stark.
gestern hatte ich tiefe traurigkei und sorgen bezüglich der neu aufflammenden covidpandemie. mein mann gehört zu den stark gefährdeten. wir leben momentan sehr zurück gezogen...dies wird sich nun verstärken...hatte ein kurzes tief gestern (bis jetzt kam ich gut zurecht mit der situation) . heute morgen hatte ich das bedürfnis meinen sorgen und ängsten raum zu geben sich auszudrücken. und was zeigt sich...leichtigkeit und hoffnung im ganzen..und sie fliegen weg meine sorgen.
ich male neu mit öl...wie sinnlich es ist diese farben zu modellieren...geht bis ins innerste....
