Pulling out of Glenn siding after a quick meet, 1983 and the MEWFPB-12 slowly roll into Angleton, where it will turn off the Angleton Sub and onto the branch to Freeport. This would be the last shot of a fun chase.

The roar of engines shattered the morning stillness. The young girl braked sharply, swung off her bicycle and turned, eyes lifting toward the sky. From the nearby American airbase, colossal B-17 bombers broke over the distant hill and climbed steadily into the clouds. Each passing nearly overhead, four engines droning under full power as they headed out over the English Channel—another sortie bound for occupied France.
I hope you like it.

Europe, Netherlands, Noord Holland, Station Hilversum Media Park, De Kijkbuis Footbridge, People (slightly cut from B&T)
The 'Kijkbuis' footbridge (September 2011) connects Station Hilversum Media Park (former names: Hilversum Noord and Hilversum NOS) with the Media Park itself. It is an aluminium and wooden structure (the weathered bottom part) The perforated cladding signifies radio waves. Design: Meyer en van Schoten Architecten. Realisation: Strukton Infratechniek.
There is some controversy over the name. The municipality of Hilversum still calls it ‘De Kijkbuis’, ProRail (the Dutch rail infrastructure organization), and the architects, prefer ‘Via de Kijkbuis´.
The footbridge replaced an earlier one that was demolished in 2013.

Keeping my fingers crossed that we have finally turned the corner, as the "ever reliable" weather forecast shows warming temps (slightly) and no more snow until the weekend.
Great. I just jinxed us.
"Once more into the breach", as Shakespeare once wrote, and the path into one of the hoodoos of Kamloops. This time a cloud lay between the two mountains, and at the top of the path. This is why I stopped, this is what I was after, but I would be later surprised by another opportunity.
The day was 37 celcius or if you are a fan of the Fahrenheit scale, 98 degrees. In other words, far too hot for this tripod carrying photographer to spend much time out under the hot sun. At the time, I was on my way from one location to another. But, I like to travel by the hoodoos to gaze at their incredible formations, and see if an interesting photo avails itself.
We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun
The bonnie boat was won as we sailed into the Mystic
Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and your spirit fly.....
Into the Mystic...................

A phone snap tonight while out with Bryn (whippet). Ballywalter, Co Down. The ship is the Celebrity Apex, just left Belfast a few hours earlier, on her way to Cork. 3000 passengers and over 1300 crew, 15 decks and over 1400 cabins. 306m long, she cost EUR 770 million (USD 900 million).
The sky and the beach were made millions of years ago and are free.
Funny the things one finds out while out for a walk with the dog!
