Out of the darkness - into the light (R.I.P. Falco). Forest and fog, always a fascinating combination. The path leads into the bright unknown. Lets hope it will be a brighter 2023. Happy new year!
Looking down the highway into the golden mist along Rainier's Reflection Lake.

What a morning it was. A half hour before the fog covered everything. My patience was blessed with a remarkable morning.
May your paths today lead to beauty and happiness.
I took this shot a couple of years ago in Oregon. It was just off the beach and was very windy, as you can see from the tree. What really touched me was the three people on the right...the way they were hanging onto each other. To me it signified a very close bond.

Lend your ears to music, open your eyes to painting, and... stop thinking! Just ask yourself whether the work has enabled you to 'walk about' into a hitherto unknown world. If the answer is yes, what more do you want?

One of my wishes is that those dark trees,
So old and firm they scarcely show the breeze,
Were not, as 'twere, the merest mask of gloom,
But stretched away unto the edge of doom.
I should not be withheld but that some day
into their vastness I should steal away,
Fearless of ever finding open land,
or highway where the slow wheel pours the sand.
I do not see why I should e'er turn back,
Or those should not set forth upon my track
To overtake me, who should miss me here
And long to know if still I held them dear.
They would not find me changed from him they knew--
Only more sure of all I though was true.

Few things get my photo mojo kicked into high gear more than the autumn season here in Ontario: a pearl-grey morning sky, the smell of rain in the air, and leaves turning from green to crimson and orange to gold.
