Bench Monday

This lovely bench was in the Garden Of Dreams. I made it with the Deep Dream Generator.

I named "Sonic" the cute hedgehog that lives in the garden.

He is usually nocturnal, but sometimes he walks during the day.

He went out that day after the rain certainly to eat worms.

When it's too hot, he comes out of the wooden hut in which he lives in "secretly" 😉 to cool off in the taller grass.

I opted for "differential mowing", which allows the fauna and flora to flourish but my garden is still mowed in places. Some are mowed, others are more natural. Insects like it a lot as well as birds and it is very pleasant to regularly discover the plants and wild flowers that grow in the garden.

This is a Brimstone butterfly perching on a flower in my garden. The butterfly is described by The Wildlife Trusts as common and widespread across the UK. I’ve certainly seen a few in the garden. This one flew away when I approached, then circled round and back to the same flower.

Uploaded for the Happy Caturday theme, Memories from the archives. My sweet KC, sadly missed. An early pic from the first day I received my digital camera. I called her name and she gave me that enquiring look. She would have been nearly 8yrs old here.

Ferns to use in flower bouquet's.

A fern is a member of a group of vascular plants that reproduce via spores and have neither seeds nor flowers. flower bouquet's.

I liked the look of this very small, delicate flower I found growing in Valley Gardens in Pontefract, though I have no idea what it is!

Macro Mondays-Green

At this time of year we have lots of Cherry Tomatoes. These will be red before you know it!

One four that fledged yesterday and spent all day chasing mum and dad around the garden begging for food today!
