Bois du Breuil (Forest of Breuil) near Honfleur, Calvados, Normandie (Normandy), France. A rich forest, part of the commune of Équemauville and overlooking the communes (towns/villages) of Honfleur, Vasouy and Pennedepie as well as the River Seine. It belonged to the Dukes of Normandy until 1204 when King Philippe Auguste conquered Normandy and the forest passed to the French kings. Located 4km from Honfleur, the Bois du Breuil is one of the rare forests on the coastline and is open to the public. This forest, covering 120 hectares, is the property of the Conservatoire du Littoral (Coastal Conservancy). Great variety of species (32 listed species including oak, beech, Scots pine and maritime pine), a fine population of naturalised rhododendrons, large 1,200m path lined with beech trees dating from 1850. Preserved natural wealth thanks to meticulous management in keeping with nature. Access via the RD62 (Equemauville-Pennedepie road). 2 car parks. Right now my whole world spin around photography, but music was my first love. That first love that is never forgotten and that permeates you to the last cell of the body.
I am quite a spiritual person and therefore I think that things do not happen by chance.
Last Saturday afternoon I went out again to do Street Photography. It has been more than a month since due to circumstances I had not been able to go out and take pictures in Valencia's old town. This last outing was completely different. Wonderfully different.
I practice yoga and my teacher of this discipline, Juan, also runs a pub called "LA FLAMA" in the historic center very close to the Torres de Serranos. Music sessions are usually held there and a Jazz session was scheduled for yesterday Saturday. The session was canceled due to circumstances and instead of that take his place Julián Díaz, an unusual pianist.
It wasn't too late when I passed the pub door, so the pianist was doing rehearsals. My teacher kindly invited me to come in and take some photos while the pianist was playing…
The piano player put on his hat, sat down at the piano, and began to play the main theme from the movie INTERSTELLAR.
The ethereal light, the atmosphere at the corner of the local, the passion of the pianist in his interpretation of the theme, all the elements formed a magical moment in which the tears fulled up in my eyes making difficult to get focus properly with my camera since I always work with completely manual lenses.
With this humble work I want to deeply thank the great present that I received unexpectedly the day after my birthday; a gift in wich music and photography merged into a stunning and marvellous single feeling.

Having read a bit about Mars I decided to do my visual interpretation of Mars, which consists of fire, rocks, iron, nickel, and sulfur. Its solar system symbol and meaning are the shield and spear of the god of war also representing the male or masculine symbol. Its representing colours are shades of red, silver, and yellow.
It has been on scientists radar for a long time now and they keep on learning more. I just hope that we do not destroy Mars as we are our planet.

This was all the historical (I assume) interpretation I got at The Kiln. I was driving along a wildlife refuge and saw a sign pointing to The Kiln. I followed the sign and came upon another sign, this one, reading "The Kiln."
But saw no kiln as far as I could tell.
Like any sign worth anything in rural America, someone blasted it with a shotgun. Maybe they were also frustrated with the lack of Kiln.

Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire
Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire is an architecturally significant country house from the Elizabethan era, a leading example of the Elizabethan prodigy house. Built between 1590 and 1597 for Bess of Hardwick, it was designed by the architect Robert Smythson, an exponent of the Renaissance style. Hardwick Hall is one of the earliest examples of the English interpretation of this style, which came into fashion having slowly spread from Florence. Its arrival in Britain coincided with the period when it was no longer necessary or legal to fortify a domestic dwelling.- Wikipedia

The Common Chiffchaff is a regular winter visitor along the Mediterranean coasts of Spain, including the Costa Blanca (Alicante province). Although the species continues to occur in good numbers each winter, local observations suggest a noticeable decline compared to previous decades—reflecting a broader trend affecting many migratory and wetland-associated birds.
Chiffchaffs typically begin arriving on Spain’s Mediterranean coast in October, remaining through the winter period until March. Across its global range, the species breeds widely throughout Europe and western Asia. Populations from the north and east of the range are migratory, undertaking seasonal movements to wintering grounds further south. In contrast, western populations are more often resident or short-distance migrants, sometimes remaining close to their breeding areas year-round.
Within El Hondo Natural Park, Common Chiffchaffs show a strong association with wetland margins and surrounding scrub. Preferred habitats include reedbeds, tamarisk thickets, lagoon edges, irrigation channels, and lightly wooded areas near open water—all well represented around the Interpretation Centre lagoons, where multiple individuals were recorded during this visit.
A small, active insectivore even in winter, the Chiffchaff remains one of the more reliable Mediterranean winter warblers, offering excellent opportunities for photography and close field observation in coastal wetlands like El Hondo.
Beecraigs Park is 370 hectares of exciting and beautiful Country Park. You’ll find it nestled high in the Bathgate Hills near the historic town of Linlithgow. Beecraigs is the largest of West Lothian's 3 Country Parks and offers miles of woodland paths and trails to explore by foot, bike or horse as well as a wide range of leisure and recreational opportunities. Questa è la foto originale inviata al mio libro.it per la stampa della copertina e del retro-copertina del libro che contiene i cinquantuno testi pubblicati in oltre due anni qui su Flickr. Sono stata un po' assente dal sito perché impegnata nella impaginazione dei testi e delle foto, impaginazione ripetuta più volte per arrivare a un risultato che fosse abbastanza soddisfacente.
Rileggendo ho ceduto alla tentazione di correggere o integrare alcuni passaggi, ma sostanzialmente mi sono attenuta agli originali. È stato un lavoro laborioso e faticoso perché ho dovuto imparare a muovermi con programmi abbastanza ostici, e soprattutto a trovare degli escamotage quando non riuscivo a venire a capo delle barriere che trovavo nell'interpretazione delle regole sottese a ogni programma, ma alla fine sono riuscita a giungere al traguardo.
Una settimana dopo l'invio dei files ho ricevuto a casa alcune copie stampate di Fotografare la memoria, 191 pagine con più di 90 foto inserite.
Nonostante abbia inserito foto ad alta risoluzione, ho riscontrato una relativa qualità delle foto, in alcuni punti molto più scure degli originali e con colori abbastanza discordanti, come si potrà notare dalla pubblicazione prossima della copertina e retro-copertina elaborata dalla tipografia del miolibro.it.
Ma, considerato il costo per singola copia, davvero esiguo per la gran quantità di foto a colori, devo dire che il lavoro ricevuto è più che soddisfacente.
This is the original photo sent to my libro.it for printing the cover and back cover of the book that contains the fifty-one texts published in over two years here on Flickr. I was a bit absent from the site because I was busy with the layout of the texts and photos, a layout repeated several times to arrive at a result that was satisfactory enough.
Rereading I gave in to the temptation to correct or integrate some passages, but basically I stuck to the originals. It was a laborious and tiring job because I had to learn to move with fairly difficult programs, and above all to find some loopholes when I couldn't get to the bottom of the barriers that I found in the interpretation of the rules underlying each program, but in the end I managed to reach the finish line.
A week after sending the files I received at home some printed copies of Fotografare la memoria, 191 pages with more than 90 photos inserted.
Despite having inserted high-resolution photos, I found the quality of the photos to be relatively good, in some places much darker than the originals and with quite discordant colors, as you will notice from the upcoming publication of the cover and back cover created by the typography of miolibro.it.
But, considering the cost per single copy, really low for the large quantity of color photos, I must say that the work received is more than satisfactory.
Iconic in Kuala Lumpur is this view of the confluence of the Klang and Gombak Rivers. At the junction is the famous Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque built in 1909. Its architect was British Arthur Benison Hubback (1871-1948), who was much taken by Indo-Saracenic aesthetics, albeit in his own interpretations.
This entire area was until a few years ago quite a mess but it has now been very nicely revamped with the name River of Life.
Due to simple optical physics, our lenses turn the received image upside down (and left becomes right). My camera (Fuji X-Pro3 plus Samyang telephoto mirror lens) would then turn everything around again and, in a second step, "correct" the matter by reproducing the original upside-down image. Our own eye/brain combo does the same. We are not even aware that our eyes communicate a completely distorted image to our brains. The image we "see" is a "corrected" one or, perhaps closer to the truth, a composition of a multiplicity of gazes, referenced against our data banks and "edited" according to various sets of criteria. "Seeing" is not a visual reproduction of what is out there, it is rather an interpretation. Don't expect photography to be anything else.
Viewers, please add your own interpretive title if the time and mood should allow. Thought would be fun, as I could not settle on just one idea.

This one is dated somewhere around 1982 when I lived in Orange, CA. Camera was an old Graflex 4x5 view camera and Polaroid Type 52 film. Somewhat gloomy and disheartening, this was my interpretation of desperation and loneliness in the form of a double exposure and inanimate objects. The idea being that sometimes only the soul remains after the body has served its purpose, while living. The entire scene weeps due to the strokes of the protective coating of Polaroid Type 52 film.
Various interpretations revolve around the denomination of Montescaglioso from "Civitas Severiana", for Alessandro Severo who dominated the center, to "Mons Cabeosus", for the wealth of caverns.
In the beginning a Byzantine stronghold, then dominated by various feudal families, the development of Montescaglioso flourished around the Benedictine Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo (1079), rich in beautiful frescoes.
Not sure why I felt inspired by the burnt out light bulb in the fixture above my kitchen sink, but here it is anyways! :D
I had earlier seen this female Hooded Merganser by itself on this log, quite comfortable (in my interpretation) even when a Northern Shoveler pair swam by. But five minutes later, this male Mallard barged in to usurp its place. The location was Alta Lake near Whistler, in the mountains north of Vancouver, British Columbia. Photo 1/4
