Der Düsseldorfer Kö-Bogen als Schwarzweiss-Interpretation. Der Kö-Bogen ist ein Gebäudekomplex und Freiraumgefüge zur Stadterneuerung in der nordrhein-westfälischen Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf. Benannt wurde das städtebauliche Projekt nach dem Viertelkreis-Bogen, den die dort am Rande des Hofgartens und des Teichs an der Landskrone einst verlaufende Hofgartenstraße in Richtung der Königsallee, der Kö, beschrieb.

The urban design project was named after the quarter circle arch, which the Hofgartenstraße that once ran on the edge of the Hofgarten and the pond at the Landskrone in the direction of Königsallee, the Kö.

Raphaelle Peale, American

Despite pleas from his father Charles Willson Peale, to forgo Still Life in favor of the more lucrative Portrait, Raphaelle Peale became one of the first Americans to make the still life his focus. Often a sense of anatomy augments his compositions. Here, the branches of the peach on the left might reference hungry fingers plucking a fruit. Although many artists depicted bountiful displays ,Peale generally focused on one or two types of fruit. While the fruits and porcelain basket are symbols of prosperity, Peale struggled financially. Whereas his brother was able to earn $100 a portrait, Peales averaged $15 for a still life.

Spiegelsee, Steiermark, Austria. This lake is a very famous photogenic spot. Nobody was around just after sunset, which was great for taking pictures.

The Coso Petroglyphs have been subject to various interpretations as to their meaning and function. One perspective argues that the drawings are metaphoric images correlated with individual shamanic vision quests. Alternatively it has been argued that they are part of a hunting religion that included increase rites and were associated with a sheep cult ceremonial complex.[3][4] However these alternative explanations might be somewhat complementary in that the medicine persons could have been the artisans but their messages might have often been associated with religious observances centering on the veneration of bighorn sheep.[5]
In addition to the extant petroglyph rock art, the Coso People carried out extensive working of obsidian tools and other 'manufacturing.' There is considerable archaeological evidence substantiating trade of these products between the Coso People and other Indigenous peoples of the Americas and Native American tribes.[6] For example, distant trade with the southern Californian Pacific coast Chumash People is confirmed by archaeological recovery from California sites in San Luis Obispo County, California[7] and other coastal indigenous peoples' sites.
Big and Little Petroglyph Canyons are situated on property of the China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station. The two canyons are a designated U.S. National Historic Landmark. In 2001, they were incorporated into a larger National Historic Landmark District, called the Coso Rock Art District.[8]
In 2014, the Ridgecrest Petroglyph Festival was created as an annual celebration and showcase the petroglyphs located in the two canyons.

Schrodinger's cat is a famous theoretical thought experiment in quantum physics
If even remotely interested......
There's something called The Copenhagen Interpretation that posits that "things" at the subatomic level don't have any determined properties, only possibilities. A particle can be in two places at the same time, the atom can be in both an excited and unexcited state at the same time, and a photon can be both a particle and a wave.
What determines what we see is our measurement and observation,
Then all the probabilities collapse into one, the one being observed.
Schrodinger wasn't a fan of that theory, so he devised a thought experiment to show how absurd it would be to apply to the gross world of stuff.
He said imagine we put a cat in a box. Also in the box is a radioactive particle which might, or might not begin to decay and emit radiation. If it does, there's a gieger counter which will trigger the release of a noxious gas that will kill the cat.
Then we put a lid on the box.
But until someone opens the box, the cat is both alive and dead.
That's hugely oversimplified, but it's the layman's gist.
This little cat was sitting under a curb on a recessed sewer grate.
So,, is it coming or going or both?

My interpretation!!! For a few minutes the clouds had mercy and offered some light that made the Elbphilharmonie stand-out putting everything else in its shadows. Looking closer you can see window cleaners in formation hanging from above.. #elbphilharmonie #hamburg #hafen #elbe

Since its foundation in March 1989, the House of World Cultures has had its headquarters in the former Congress Hall on the banks of the River Spree in the Great Zoo and Government District. As an icon of architectural modernity, the Congress Hall became a prominent symbol of the German-American alliance. In Berlin vernacular, the building is also known under the name "Schwangere Auster" (pregnant qyster), which refers to its shape.

Now I really really really enjoy my sleep ins...but its a morning like this that makes you thankful for getting out of bed.
Its a single exposure using a Cokin GND8 and Circ Polarizer. I know that the dark part above the cloud won't be to everyone's cup of tea, but I like how it shows the top parts of the cloud off.

This image is Part II of my Pixel Shift series – the monochrome continuation of the color version (Part I).
As many already know from the first image, Pixel Shift tolerates no motion: not in the frame, not in the environment. I spent hours in -3°C temperatures waiting for one single moment without a passing train or a vibrating bridge.
In that brief silence, 16 perfectly aligned sensor-shifted exposures merged into this 250MP black-and-white interpretation – stripped down to light, structure, rhythm, and the steel heartbeat of Frankfurt Central Station.
Unlike the vivid color edition, this monochrome version presents the station not as a hub of movement, but as a monumental cathedral of machinery – frozen in time.

In the garden sunlight, they are definitely blue.
Anemone coronaria, poppy anemone popularly in English, is a species of flowering plant in the genus Anemone, native to the Mediterranean region.
In making these Macros, I discovered that some flowers have 'hairs, something I did not know nor expected!
Each time I think... that's it, there's only so much you can do with flowers... and yet again and again, I'll see something new.

Villoslada de Cameros es un municipio y localidad española de la comunidad autónoma de La Rioja. El término municipal, ubicado en la comarca de Cameros, tiene una población de 348 habitantes (INE 2023).
Está integrado en la comarca de Cameros, concretamente en la subcomarca de Camero Nuevo, situándose a 50 km de Logroño por la carretera N-111, que atraviesa el término municipal en el kilómetro 286.
El extenso término municipal ocupa buena parte de la cara norte de la Sierra Cebollera, que incluye el parque natural del mismo nombre. El río Iregua, que nace en el territorio, forma un profundo valle en su descenso de sur a norte, recibiendo el aporte de los numerosos arroyos de la zona y del río Mayor. Por el oeste, las sierras de Frihuela y Castejón, integradas en el Sistema Ibérico, hacen de límite, junto con la Sierra Cebollera al sur, con la provincia de Soria. En Villoslada hay un centro de interpretación del parque natural de la Sierra de Cebollera.
El techo del municipio es una enorme planicie llamada La Mesa (2168 m) que comparte con Lumbreras de Cameros. El segundo punto más elevado, que da nombre a la sierra, es el pico Cebollera (2141 m), compartido con los municipios de El Royo y Sotillo del Rincón. El núcleo urbano se alza a 1072 m sobre el nivel del mar.

Hawa Mahal is the tallest building in the world without a foundation. The five-storey building managed to maintain upright because of it is curved. Just another masterpiece of Rajput and Mughal architecture.

Das rund 75.000 m² große Grundstück mit dem als „Toblerone“ bekannten Hochhaus und Bürokomplex, welcher Ende der 80er Jahre durch Prof. von Gerkan für die Telekom entworfen und errichtet wurde, sollte für die Volksbank BraWo der neue Verwaltungssitz werden.
Anfang 2011 wurde der Bürokomplex saniert und somit zeitgemäße Büroflächen geschaffen.

Do you imagine they are installing updates or viruses? I only have a few of these figures to work with so I am experimenting and trying out different ideas. There are many creative artists who have already shot lots of interesting and clever images with miniatures but I haven't, there is always room for different interpretations.
The base of Burnett Falls looks to be a place of both extreme violence, and great beauty. Pounding water takes its toll on what lay below, but also creates an alluring graphic. Appearing like a white dress with a floor length train, arms take shape and reach up the canyon walls.
Like so many things in life, it is all in how we interpret our surrounding. Take for example the person who asks, "is your glass half empty, or half full?" My response is, "you have the wrong size glass",
