A classic interior of an early 1960's compartment, with really cool wood veneer, reading lights, and embossed mirror.

This is an elevation that I created for a collaborative project between the Interior Design department and the Culinary Arts department of El Centro College. The stone over the bar was back-lit onyx.
The church of St Michael & All Angels stands close to the centre of the picturesque village of Broadway and was built in 1840 to the designs of architect Harvey Eginton, replacing the medieval church of St Eadburgha which remains in its beautiful but less practical isolated position some distance into the countryside.
The church is an impressive building, Early English in style with lancet windows and a plaster vaulted ceiling over the nave that adds drama to the interior. There is a fine 17th century pulpit brought from the old church but otherwise the furnishings are contemporary with the building and later.
St Michael's is normally kept open and welcoming to visitors.

ercol are proud holders of the Manufacturing Guild Mark, for excellence in manufacturing, awarded by the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers. Our new bar stool is an adaptation of stools made by our jig shop for our designers to sit on, in the days when designers drew by hand at large drawing boards.
This sketch is part of the process that led to a final interior space I designed. I choose and sketched the corner of an existing interior I found interesting and used it as a set background. I then observed and sketched different furniture, flowers, and decorative ornaments I thought could integrate into the background I sketched. I experimented with different combinations of furniture and ornaments by cutting my sketches out and simply laying them onto the background. I found it challenging to manipulate the scale of the products I sketched to suit the background, so I found a solution by scanning my images and manipulating the sizes using preview.
