Half in the Peak District and half in the the comfort of my Kitchen this evening.
We recently got back form a 3 week road trip, coast to coast. Naturally it involved some landscape photography, but I try not to be only about landscapes. One of the places we visited was another dimension. This was the result of us traveling through a portal in Denver, called Meow Wolf. Its an interactive art exhibit. Its expensive and crowded, but very cool and I would not miss it when you are in Denver. They also have locations in Sante Fe, Las Vegas, Dallas and soon Houston. This was from a castle on an abandoned ice planet. Several images mean-stacked in photoshop to get rid of the people. No tripods allowed, so this one was very tricky to shoot.
Let me know what you think. I know, you all like landscapes better, those are coming soon.

As a reader of science fiction, I find the concept of interdimensional travel fascinating. Photoleap was used to create this image.
Finding Inner Peace: A Leisurely Stroll Through the Woods with a Few Jump Scares 😉
the prompts:
epic dramatic shot of a gigantic interdimensional anthromorfic forest creature in bluish mist of a dark forest. stunning HP Lovecraft character concept art, in the style of Frank Darabont's The Mist, award-winning photography, photograph taken by Sony a7S III with Sony FE 50mm, f/1.4 ZA lens, tilt-shift lens, tilt angle perspective, cosmic horror, dark evil atmosphere, morbid and ashen light, hyper-detailed, emphasis on detail, photorealistic, intense shading, clean sharp focus, depth of field, dynamic movement, dynamic composition, film grain, smooth bokeh --ar 16:9 --c 20 --q 2 --niji --v 5 - Upscaled (Beta)
Using --niji as an anime creator in "photography" lets us create higher resolution images within midjourney, but it's not simple
Westminster tube station; that bit between the Jubilee line and the Circle & District lines. A fraction of a moment when nobody was visible, so I grabbed the shot before the next horde arrived.
Friends, when I was in my mid-40s (before I ever picked up a camera) an intuitive/seer told me that I was an artist who needed to be making art. I resonated with what she said. I immediately bought some art materials and started making art. No instruction. Among the first images I made were many mandalas ... all about the circle form. I recently came across some of those early creations in an old portfolio and had them made into digital images so I could share them with you. This one, Cosmic Abstract, was made with art markers on poster board (and countless hours of obsessive detailing, lol!)
My intention was to suggest a many-layered multi-dimensional reality wherein the unseen, due to its vastness, can only be pointed to, but is both very real and more monumental than all of that which can be seen. Since I will be 'graduating' from Planet Earth this month, sharing these is a now-or-never deal. More to come. Many blessings to you all. Thank you, from deep in my heart, for your interest in my work. ♥ K.
(p.s.: the "Taken on November 3, 2016" under the image is incorrect. That's the date I loaded the digitized image onto my computer. I created this piece sometime in 2000 or 1999.)
Today's story and sketch by me #1354 Is about Smith the Extraterrestrial Time Traveling Bounty Hunter, you see under the Banana Palm. Smith has traveled here to this Volcanic Tropical Planet we call Budahunga, on three previous occasions, each time he would ask if we had seen someone or something, he was tracking. Smith somehow has the ability to travel through dimensions like you or I would walk the isles of a supermarket. Deputy JB and myself landed had a short conversation about a fugitive that escaped from the Playa Beautimus Maximum Security Prison Planet. Luckily we had not seen the Ten foot tall Six hundred pound Summagen, When I told Smith we had never seen a Summagen, he reached into Stylish Bounty Hunter Trench Coat, pulled out some kind of Interdimensional travelers powder shaker, sprinkled some blue powder on the gravel in front of him, instantly a Deep Blue Quivering Stargate opened, Smith walked into it and was gone. If and when Smith returns to Budahunga, I'm hoping to get some of his Blue Stargate Powder, until next time Tata the Rod Blog.
If you think this is enough to dissuade an interdimensional FCC, think again.
[Also: I now have a Brickshelf account with these - it's easier to page through the comics there. Link here.]
For the Sliders Sunday group. Base image created using a Canon 7D camera and processed using Photoshop and Quad Pencil. Happy Sliders Sunday!
Today's story and sketch by me #1396, is another mystery about things that are happening here on this planet we call home, it is a Tropical Volcanic Planet somewhere at the end of a Galaxy, in a dimension that is somewhere, we just have no idea where that somewhere is. We Call it Budahunga because that was what was printed on a sign on a very ancient hut we still believe was a Post Office. The post office idea was because there was a bag of outgoing mail, to destinations throughout the Cosmos. Sadly the the bags outgoing postmarks are for twelve years in the future, which would mean 2034. Of course that gives us hope the mail will eventually be picked up. In the meantime we are using this very Large Hut, I say large we estimate it's about Thirty thousand square feet, to store Stuff, like the Pedestrian riding a mobility scooter, two Scarecrows, and one Punk'n Spider, that strangely arrived last night, probably dropped off by a Dimension Dust Devil, or Interdimensional Portal. We will interview the pedestrian, find out where he is from, when he was abducted, and if the Punk'n Spider is his pet, and what he knows about the Spooky Scarecrows, all of those questions will have to be stories for another time, until then Tata the Rod Blog.
Mr Whitaker, roped into another budget Interdimensional travel experiment, using Readybrek and stardust. This time he got as far as the beer and pizza dimension, after touching down here.
Sooc Raw Conversion in camera.
Today's story and sketch "by me" you can see JB above on a search and rescue mission, this one involves Dr Steven Wannapoki the missing Gastroenterologist and Super Secret Interdimensional Space Missionary, with Emesis his surgical assistant, who when she is not doing surgical things, rides along to help on undercover missions. Dr Steve went missing when taking Emesis to a picnic at lake Maxinthecooki on his 14 foot yacht "The Smooth Move", which will have to be a story for another time. Dr Steve's tale began three weeks ago when he drove away from the drive thru window with half a dozen banana moon pies, onto route 66 without tipping Zooelda, owner of The Dimension Two Moon Pie Shop in Broken Drum Indiana, Zooelda is a stickler for tipping etiquette, customers driving away without leaving a proper tip soon find themselves travelling through a worm hole into another dimension, on most occasions a Z dimension, created with a creative gypsy Z curse by Zooelda for an X husband. Zooelda does not stay betrothed for very long, her longest was 14 days, so rather than going through a nasty divorce she just sends them off transformed into animal's or one of her favorites as spirit trees, oaks, pines, or another favorite a spirit Tiki Palm. Until next time taa ta the Rod Blog.
THE WOLF IS BACK!

Excerpt from the classified report to the UN security council regarding the I.I. incident, day 51.
"Little is known of the previous vessel(s) of the Interdimensional Innards (I.I.), or if said Innards indeed required a vessel previous to its apparent encounter with an individual of the Blue Poison Arrow Frog or Dendrobates Tinctorius "Azureus", nicknamed FrogA. Be it as it may, this encounter is noted to be the initiating incident leading to the collapse of the entire biome of the northern Brazil region.
The pinpointing of the gravitational anomaly detected by LIGO having lead to its discovery, initial reports suggest the threat could have been contained in the early stages of the parasitification of FrogA, when all that could be noted was a special smell (noted as indescribable by Mokatu et al.) coming off the content of its abdomen observed through full gastric eversion. It appears however that repeated full gastric eversions were a specific trait sought by the I.I. to quickly develop and fully take over its host. In the span of 37 hours following its discovery, phenomena described as 'downright bizarre' by Mokatu and his team, led to the destruction of the area. Those events are recounted in logs whose content goes outside the scope of this report.
The latest appearence of the I.I. on the 12/23/22 marks its 4th spotting in as many continents as of its discovery 51 days ago. This latest form confirms the infered fate of FrogA, that it is no more a living animal but a mere vessel of flesh controled by the Innards. The body has mutated thoroughly, as it grew to resemble the 50m one eyed beast of spotting 4. Furthermore, the jaw and trachea having withered away, the only way for the I.I. to manifest is done through a self-inflicted evisceration, spilling the abdomen's content on the ground where its true work can begin.
The writhing entrails seem to feed off matter itself, leaving areas desolate, giving off strong radiation and other forms of exotic emissions. Solid emissions consist of metric tons of xeno-organic matter, described by Mokatu before their unfortunate demise on spotting 3, as 'the stuff of nightmares'. Reports of strange portals and pathways from the probes sent inside suggest an inside way vaster than seen from the outside. These findings match with the gravitational waves observed which suggest the presence of a decaying black hole of 150 to 200 solar masses. A number which grows exponentially between each spotting.
Attempts to commnicate have proved fruitless.
In 51 days, the Interdimensional Innards have grown to be able to absorb 3-storey buildings.
Current estimations suggest that they will be able to absorb the entirety of planet Earth by day 64."
The Celestial Barracuda is an exploration vessel that was created to explore the universe. Once it was done with that, it's technology had evolved to allow it interdimensional travel.
Now it is an interdimensional transport ship for the greater good. It is used to find new homes for civilizations who lost their home planets.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
This year, I finally found the time to build a SHIP for SHIPtember. I am really excited to share it with the world. I had a lot of fun building this thing and populating it with small ships and mechs.
Nothing too crazy but hey, can't hurt to share it. This is a 360° IR panorama, consisting of 42 individual photos (43 actually, when there is something moving or 'optional' like myself in the frame, I usually take a second one without it so I can choose what I want when stitching) and a equirectangular projection yielded 27178 x 10600px, 288MP.
I like the weird bend and long shadow of the tripod, and there is also the creator of these magnificent panos *g* and also this multi-and-inter-dimensional being which I showed here more closely, but developed in a different fashion:
