Optical instruments - Smile on Saturday
Muchas gracias a todos por sus visitas, comentarios y favoritas... Saludos amigos...!!!
From the left hand side to the back then front right, these are the Thai classical instruments these children use:
Saw Sam Sai (Three Stringed fiddle) ( ซอสามสาย ) – it is a traditional bowed string instrument made from a special type of coconut covered on one end with animal skin. Musician playing Saw Sam Sai’ mostly sits at the front row of the ensemble.
Thai Ramwong Drum ( รำวง )– It is super heavty solid carved shell with beautiful wood grain and nice lacquer finish. It is easily tunable without tools by adjusting the ropes.
Ching ( ฉิ่ง ) and Chap ( ฉาบ ) – this is the tupe of metal percussion looks like mini cymbals made of an alloy. Ching comes in pair of bowl shape cymbals. Chap is more flat and thinner.
Ja Khe ( จะเข้ ) – is made of wood in a stylised alligator shape with three strings laying along the instruments. Two strings are made of silk yarn or nylon and the other strings is made of brass, It has raised frets made of bamboo, which are affixed to the fretboard. The body is made of soft wood trees such as jackfruit.
Traditional music can help people understand a country better. It represents the history, traditions and thoughts of a community you are in.
As for yourself, of course, either you are playing or learning to play any instruments can be seen as very therapeutic. It can raise your mood and make you calm or relaxed.
Have a wonderful day ahead!
This is a seam ripper, I focussed on the cutting edge.

Mess- und Regeltechniken waren immer schon von hoher Bedeutung in der Schwerindustrie. Hier zu sehen sind alte Thermo- und Manometer in der Gebläsehalle der Henrichshütte Hattingen, heute ein Museum.

Techniques of measurement had always been very important in the heavy industry. Here you can see old thermometers and manometers in the blower hall of the blast furnace plant Henrichshütte Hattingen, Germany.
There's a nice clean and easy to follow instrument panel in the Jabiru. What struck me here was the note: "No intentional spins." I would have thought that was a given. And in the event of an unintentional spin, pray! Although seriously, recovering from a stall situation is one of the most important skills a pilot must learn.

Stringed instrument. Has eight strings, but the Laowa lens focuses so closely that I went with this. You might be able to see a blur of the next string, but not the peg.
Inspired by MacroMondays. But not satisfied with this. Might do another…

Bought as one of a set of steak knives this sharp saw tooth knife is ideal for cutting fruit and vegetables.

The components of a large music band, taking advantage of the moment of rest of the procession inside the cathedral, took the opportunity to regain strength. His instruments, too.
Les composantes d'une grande fanfare, profitant du moment de repos du cortège à l'intérieur de la cathédrale, en ont profité pour reprendre des forces. Ses instruments aussi.
We believe in a world where people could access the music instruments and equipment of their dreams.

The twins Marcus and EJ Stricklands are fairly well known in the jazz world. Marcus play sax, so he is up front and better known. EJ (Enoch Jamal) came to Montreal without his brother, but with another excellent saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin.
EJ plays with the best in the jazz world. While still a student, he played with Wynton Marsalis , Abbey Lincoln , Christian McBride , Herbie Hancock and Dianne Reeves. He became known in the groups of Ravi Coltrane, Marcus Strickland (nepotism ;-) and Russell Malone. Strickland stayed well in the background in this concert giving the limelight to the flashy Lakecia Benjamin. Strangely enough, I hear his name now more often on the radio. Elias Bailey - bass and Oscar Perez - piano completed the band.

at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. It looked a bit like a violin, but it has 6 strings, and is absolutely beautiful! AS you can tell, I don't know much about these things...and there was not enough time to find the appropriate information as we had to get to a Carol Service.....
