Belle and Beast Dolls, Disney Film Collection. $34.95 each.
I went to my local Disney Store today to check out the Live Action Beauty and the Beast merchandise being released today. They had a wall section devoted to the merchandise. They also displayed the dolls deboxed, with the ball gown Belle and Beast in their own display case. They didn't have any of the limited edition items (pin set, lithograph set, tea set), but did have basically everything else for sale. I bought all the dolls, and many of the other items and will post detailed photos of them later. The most impressive item to me was the locking journal. Oh, and Gaston looked really good. I also pre-ordered the Moana DVD, and got the lithographs to take home immediately. I used a D23 coupon to get 10% off everything but the Moana pre-order.
Today was one of the most amazing days... Brand New finally came back to Toronto after two and a half years break and played an instore at HMV.
This band has been a constant in my life for many years now, and with each album the respect and love that I feel for them only continues to grow. They are beautiful, humble people who bring joy into their fan's lives through their words and melodies.
I can't even begin to explain how happy today made me. Front row, acoustic set, and a few moments to say hi to the band, what else could a music fan else for?

The section of a local Disney Store displaying the Disney Fairytale Designer Collection, on Saturday, August 24, 2013. The collection was released in stores on Monday August 19, 2013, and online last Monday, August 12, 2013. Unlike my other local store, here all of the Designer dolls were on display. They had a good supply of all the Designer mugs, which are now sold out online. They also had journals, notecards Lithograph sets and cosmetics. There was no clothing or accessories (handbags, wallets, T-shirts, etc.).

I got the Rapunzel and Flynn doll set today during lunchtime at my local Disney Store. There were only 8 people entered into the raffle for 14 doll sets. At 1:10 pm they told us that they didn't have to call out names, so we just lined up at the registers in a random order. I happened to be the second in line. I was given three sets to choose from. I picked the first one. Even though one of the sets had a nice number (1133), the first set looked better to me. I took photos of the display dolls while waiting for the announcement. After I bought my dolls, I placed them on a table outside the store, and took a few photos of them. I forgot to take a photo of my CoA at the store, but my set is #4167 of 6000.
I will shortly take more detailed photos of the dolls, and also debox them. I'm anxious to see how long Rapunzel's hair is.
The set was released online in the US ShopDisney site at about 12:00 noon PST. As of 7:30 pm it is still available for purchase.

Disney's Designer Fairytale Collection presents iconic film moments in dramatic limited edition doll sets. Finely costumed and intricately crafted, Rapunzel and Flynn get tangled in a hair-raising scene that also includes a tiny Pascal figurine.
Deboxing my Frozen Fever Elsa. First the front cover is removed. Under that there is a clear plastic lid that has white graphics that are similar to the full color graphics of the outer box cover. Then the clear plastic lid is removed, to show the doll in clear view. She is attached to the cardboard backing and plastic supports, and also to the included display stand. Finally the rear outer cardboard cover is removed, leaving her on the cardboard backing. The backing is free standing. Under the backing is the Certificate of Authenticity, which is inside a sealed clear plastic envelope. Next her skirt is untacked from the bottom of the backing. The bottom of the doll stand is freed from the bottom backing as well. Now we can inspect her shoes more closely. Then she is removed from the backing, and placed next to it. She is still attached to the doll stand and plastic supports.
Detailed photos of my Frozen Fever Elsa Limited Edition 17'' doll. I got her in store on release day, Tuesday November 3, 2015. She is #1559 of 5000. She is shown boxed, during deboxing and fully deboxed. I also show her with comparable dolls.
Her only accessory is a red string that was used to connect all the birthday presents for Anna. I decided to remove the string for the final photos of her fully deboxed. Her long braid was tacked to her outfit in two places with nylon thread. I cut the lower thread so her cape could be fully opened, but I decided to leave the upper one alone, so the braid would stay in place nicely draped over her shoulder. I show her ice heels from various angles. I has the same mold as the ice heels of the other two SQ LE 17'' Elsa dolls (LE 2500 and LE 100), but is transparent light blue green, with fine embedded glitter and a shiny iridescent surface. It was difficult to show the true beauty of the shoes in photographs.

The Cinderella and Prince Charming Doll Set, the third release in the 2014 Disney Fairytale Designer Collection. I got Cinderella today (Tuesday Oct 7, 2014) at my local Disney Store. There were 15 people entered for 16 dolls. She is #4755 of 6000. Her curly hair is in more of an updo than the curly pony tale of the stock image. But that may be just how it was packaged, and may drop down into a ponytail when I debox her. She has exactly the same head position as the artwork and deboxed stock photo, so no Exorcist head here. Here are some preliminary photos of the set boxed, and then with the covers removed. I will be fully deboxing her in the next day or two.

There was more than a hundred people waiting outside the Disney Store this morning. Fortunately most of them were after the Mickey merchandise, and I got picked in the raffle for Jasmine. Several collectors that I knew were also there, but none of them got picked. I selected the first doll that was handed to me at the register, since she looked perfect. I didn't bring my camera, so no photos from the release. She is #425 of 4000. I show her boxed, and with the inner box taken out and the front viewing window taken off. She is very beautiful and my second most favorite doll from the series. She is first one that I managed to get from the store raffle, so I could take her home on release day. I will debox her tomorrow.

The band, although they've not had any major commercial success as yet have developed a bit of a cult following, at least in part to the success of their 'Oceans' video which features Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones. I've seen the band a couple of times since at larger venues and they've got a great body of songs behind them now. Second album coming soon........
