Inspiration [Marie Claire]

=o) **

A number of images representing things that I draw inspiration from, see if you can point them all out!

--

A todos, um forte abraço e obrigado pelas visitas.

P.S: A trilha citada logo no início da descrição é toda instrumental.

This little doll goes everywhere I go. Nobody ever sees her or knows she is there. When I reach in my pocket and feel her with me, holding my hand, she reminds me of all good things and makes me smile.

Thank you Miriana for this precious little gift. She means more to me than you will ever know. <3

Searching for some inspiration on vintage fabric pieces...

I am pretty much inspired by every single thing Donna creates. I had to use this Jolly Christmas set for a card class I was teaching as we wanted to focus on the "Inchies Craze", so I drew inspiration from one of Donna's cards found here: www.flickr.com/photos/3umbrellas/2616936943/

And re-posting my favorite Mommy Quote:

"Motherhood brings as much joy as ever, but it still brings boredom, exhaustion, and sorrow too. Nothing else ever will make you as happy or as sad, as proud or as tired, for nothing is quite as hard as helping a person develop his own individuality especially while you struggle to keep your own." -- Marguerite Kelly and Elia Parsons

Haven't had much inspiration to take photos lately. The energy has been in organizing, cleaning, decluttering...getting the family routines together. The results are very encouraging and I am all happy-happy about it. There's nothing like having a household home having rhythm and rhyme. (and yes, clean helps, too.) Everything else pales in comparison. Yes, even one's flickr addiction. :p No, no, I haven't forgotten about flickr friends and family. Just a little hiatus from this hibernating mama...

And OH!OH!OH! Spring is here in Toronto! Yes, yes, yes!!! Maybe that will bring the photo-bug back a-bitin'!

For this year I'm starting a 52 project in order to improve myself in the field of photography. I've no experience with this kind of photography and therefore I see the project as a learning experience :)

While looking through pictures of Laura Zalenga Photography I came to the idea of using a scarf. Thanks for this inspiration :)

Although there's no train in this shot, this has to be one of the prettiest railroad landscape shots I've ever taken. From the back platform of our diesel-powered chase train, you are looking at the view from the aptly-named "Inspiration Point" (MP 17), about 3 miles from White Pass Station. In the lower right portion of the scene, you can make out the right-of-way that we covered just a few minutes earlier. In the very center of the photo is the so-called "Saw Tooth" Mountain Range. Lots of famous White Pass photos have been taken here. While I wish we could have stopped and let the Rotary Fleet pull up right behind us for this shot, we had no time to spare. We needed to get onto the siding at White Pass Station, so the plow train could get ahead of us. We were about to do something we had not yet done on this trip. Shortly, we were about to board Combine #211 and ride on the actual Rotary Fleet, which would take us to today's "battle zone."

Hiking around Inspiration point in the Angeles National Forest last weekend, beautiful mountains! Looking towards Blue Ridge. 2 shot HDR, one for sky and one for everything else. Blended on an uncalibrated monitor so I hope the colors turned out right.

The name of the place was spot on though, an inspiring view of LA to the right and the high desert to the left .

Soldier of Love by Sade ♪♫♫

In late 2006, Ponte Milvio (Milvio Bridge), northern Rome's oldest bridge, began attracting couples, who started to use a lamppost on the bridge to hang padlocks as a sign of their love. The ritual involves the couple writing their names on a padlock, then locking it to the lamppost and throwing the key behind them into the Tiber river. The ritual was invented by author Federico Moccia for his popular book "Ho Voglia di Te" ("I Want You").

On April 13, 2007, couples were forced to stop using the lamppost, because due to the weight of hundreds of padlocks, the lamppost partially collapsed. As a replacement, a website was created allowing couples to use virtual padlocks instead. As of July 2007, couples in love can hang padlocks again thanks to steel columns put in by the mayor.

In towns all over Italy, bridges are now adorned with chains and padlocks from couples pledging eternal love to each other. This one is in the town of Caltagirone in Sicily.
