The signs of spring all around our yard now. Even though it was overcast and raining this past weekend, I felt inspired by our Camellia bush which is really starting to fill out with lots of blooms.

Grabbing my camera, I took lots of photos of everything starting to bloom. No doubt there will be more blooms (and photos) to come, but when inspiration hits you you have to act on it!

This picture is dedicated to Joel :)

Over the past few months i have started to get to know joel a lot better on a more personal level and he is without a doubt one of my single greatest friends and inspirations. I could probably go on for days about how talented, kind hearted, and wonderful he is.

Joel, you truly are someone who will always have a place in the warmest part of my heart. Shine on my friend.

Stay tuned tomorrow for part 2 :)

Until I write again about inspiration...

Inspiration emerges from different subjects, when you look for it, or even more spontaneously, from near or far. from reality or virtuality.

In an expected moment, or completely unexpected.

Sometimes the same inspiration returns in a different edition years later.

Look at one thing and create something different.. listen and feel something else.

Because sometimes the inspiration emerges unexpectedly, a result of one thing or another.. I know that someday I will create this image, which will come out different, from what I saw in my mind's eye...

... after digesting, processing.. timing. An image that develops during its creation, depending on its time... and can develop into another image later on.

A flash of a moment.. immediately comes a slightly different flash.. and in another 2 moment.. two flashes of ideas.

Within seconds of thinking, I see something much more important or a part of the initial idea, should I put it in my composition.. or will it be a new composition.

If at all, undecided.

Inspiration expresses a certain enthusiasm and desire to create.

My work has harmony, calmness, its own rhythm, and pleasure.. even if it seems that my composition has no sound.. surely they have, a variety of sounds, audible or inaudible, in different rhythms.

I should mention that I often create with music in the background... which adds another touch.

I can feel the inspiration now, and create the piece immediately, or sometime later.. even years.

It's not how strongly I feel inspired... but what life dictates.

Sometimes I write down ideas that I will implement in the future, or not...

And when the idea pad fills up and I create other different things...

I don't have to go back to the same lists or create them. ( Unlike the past yes )

The great similarity over the difference... the opposite.. with the similarity.. the great difference over the similarity.

May we have reasons for inspiration in a more creative and inclusive life.

Because life is an inspiration...And inspiration is life.

Love & peace.

"Without words I am aimless, those curly g's, the upright, stand-to-attention t's, and those portly letters that prefer to sit, the o's, a's, e's and u's, where would I be without you all?"

These are a few of my notebooks and sketchpads all waiting in line for me to pluck up the courage to use them, pretty little things that they are. As you know, I'm a stationery freak and as I know, so are many of you, so drool away my lovelies!!

I've not had much time for Flickr in the past couple of days and have fallen terribly behind in my viewing/commenting. I hope to squeeze at least an hour in later to view all of the wonders you've posted. Until then, see ya!!

And how could I forget, another Kim Klassen texture used here (Celebration?) to make everything look pretty. I've only just discovered Kim's textures (I know, where have I been, eh?) and they're already becoming firm faves!

The inner sleeve of the Usborne Book of the Future featured this alien landscape with strange multipedal robots and it always fascinated me as a kid. The searingly bright sky suggested a planet bathed in a steady dose of radiation from the star in the sky, no vegetation, the baked rocks and the robots exploring.

That, and the goofy cool world of Micronauts vehicles and Starriors.

Bryce Canyon is reminiscent of a massive pipe organ filling the valley walls - but instead of producing a tremendous and harmonious sound for the ears, it becomes an allure and fascination for the eyes. In the morning light, the pinnacles glow in a variety of reds, golds and whites; while the repeating patterns of the spires create a texture that has a visual vibration.

Inspired by the summer-images of Jannie Bijl...

because sometimes the only inspiration you have time for is the blue glitter eyeliner in your makeup drawer and a Regina Spektor song. my cat thought this was very fun and kept playing with the water as it dripped from my mouth. she is a big fat weirdo.

I just can’t forget

-how hard the days were

-the sleepless nights I went through

-the struggling and suffering

-how you left me behind

-how I tried to stay alive

Now since I came to know that you do check out my stream …Traveling through the past... through tears and laughter..

Today, with a great source of inspiration beside me, I don’t hesitate to tell you that a whole new thing has happened and thank you for moving away because im HAPPY..!

Lack of inspiration

Had a hectic day, not time for anything.

Only day 5 of 366 and having a hard time. It's cold outside, worked all day, kids, dinner, etc

The day went by and this is all I could come up with. There is always tomorrow...

...just like the sign says, Oregon has inspired me and renewed my love of nature.

Well, I made it through all the delivery. I am missing some very important parts of things, like the hardware for my platform bed (which is only 6 months old), the cables and power cord for my TV, two chairs!, etc. Plus one of my nice book cases was completely smashed...and, they way they had to stack the boxes (over 400) in my tiny rental they are all the way to the ceiling and all mixed up so I won't get to my computer for many things for several months and/or finding my camera battery charger is next to impossible for quite a while. It's going to be a long winter.

This morning when I woke up it was 26 degrees and this weekend we are supposed to have an arctic freeze and it should get down into the teens. Holy Moly!

I will comment as I can, at least I can find my dogs and the best part they have their own doggy beds again from Hawaii and they are resting comfortably - wish I could say the same for myself!

I forgot to put on hand lotion daily, so most of the tips of my fingers on my right hand cracked and split open, you can't imagine how that hurts. I'm typing with two fingers now...oh how I miss the humidity in Hawaii!

91 - Our Daily Challenge - "Humanity":

"I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world."

(Mother Theresa)

I found this quote a few weeks ago and have been wanting to use it. Today's challenge was tough, but I hope this fits the bill by referring to one of the greatest humanitarians of all time. I love the metaphor, even tho' it's not perfect. God wrote on stone tablets with His finger, so He doesn't need a pencil, much less one with an eraser! lol. Still, I love the concept and it inspires me. I long for a heart that is willing to be used as an instrument of love and compassion.
