My girlfriend, the photography student, took me out on a photo shoot for an architecture project in her class. With a broken shutter my old 10D is inop for the foreseeable future so I grabbed my similarly old PowerShot S50 along. Shot handheld this picture is composed of 4 shots, merged in Photoshop CS5, a lamppost to the far left was removed, and the building manipulated accordingly to correct skewed edges. Nik´s great ColorEfex and Sharpener Pro filter software provided the final touch and here is the end result.

Arboles monoicos perennifolios de 9-18 (32) m de alto. Rectos o torcidos, con, normalmente un tronco simple y una corona irregular de largas ramas erguidas y péndulas. Corteza lisa, luego rojiza y escamosa, finalmente pardo-grisácea, gruesa e hirsuta. Ramillas delgadas, rojizas o purpúreas, a menudo glaucas, con la edad pardo-rojizas a grises, ásperas. Yemas foliares de ovoides a cilíndricas, pardo-rojizas, de 0,6-1 cm, a veces resinosas; margen de las escamas blanco, con flecos. 2 acículas por fascículo, de (2)4-8 cm x 1-1,5 mm, retorcidas, verde oscuro a verde-amarillentas, ambas superficies con líneas inconspicuas de estomas, márgenes serrulados, ápice estrechamente agudo, vaina de 0,4-1 cm, persistente; las acículas viven 3-4 años. Conos polínicos elipsoideo-cilíndricos, de 10-20 cm, pardo-rojizos o amarillos. Conos seminíferos, sobre la corona del árbol y persistiendo hasta 5 años, simétricos, estrechamente ovoides cuando se abren, (3)4-7(8) cm de largo, pardo-rojizos, casi sésiles o sobre un pedúnculo de hasta 1 cm, escamas rígidas, con un fuerte rojo-púrpura o pardo-púrpura borde en la parte distal de la superficie superior; apófisis ligeramente engrosada, ligeramente alargada; ombligo central piramidal bajo, con una punta delgada y rígida. Semillas de 4-7 mm, obovoides comprimidas, moteadas de marrón, con una estrecha ala de hasta 20 mm de largo. Especie nativa del noreste de Estados Unidos. En Iturraran se encuentra en la zona 8.

Monoecious evergreen trees 9-18(-32) m tall. Straight to contorted with usually a single round trunk and an irregular crown of long, spreading, ascending to descending branches. Bark smooth, then reddish, scaly, finally gray-brown, thick, shaggy. Branchlets slender, reddish or purplish, often glaucous, aging red-brown to gray, rough. Foliar buds ovoid to cylindric, red-brown, 0.6-1cm, sometimes resinous; scale margins white, fringed. Needles 2 per fascicle, (2-)4-8 cm × 1-1.5 mm, twisted, deep to pale yellow-green, all surfaces with inconspicuous stomatal lines, margins serrulate, apex narrowly acute; sheath 0.4-1cm, persistent; needles live 3-4 years. Pollen cones ellipsoid-cylindric, 10-20 mm, red-brown or yellow. Seed cones borne throughout the tree's crown and persisting for up to 5 years; symmetrical, narrowly ovoid, when open, (3-)4-7(-8) cm long, red-brown, nearly sessile or on stalks to 1 cm, scales rigid, with strong purple-red or purple-brown border on adaxial surface distally; apophyses slightly thickened, slightly elongate; umbo central, low-pyramidal, with slender, stiff prickle. Seeds 4-7 mm, compressed-obovoid, mottled brown, with a narrow wing up to 20 mm long. Species native to SE of United States. In Iturraran is in zone 8.
Regelia inops
Regelia belong to the Myrtaceae family and are endemic to Australia and found in Western Australia and Northern Territory.
This one can flower at different times throughout the year growing to a height of 2.5 metres in winter-wet or sandy soils.

The airbrake is not in use during this approach: "inop"...
c/n E2304 has had its first flight on 12.03.97 with the test registration G6-304 and was delivered to LH CityLine on 21.03.97.
Honeysuckle barely made it.. we found her old mother had an inop teat. We had to nurse her with a syringe until she gained enough strength to suckle strong enough. She's 8 days old in this pic.

Emergency (AC power outage) lighting fails test. Neither light illuminate and a faint buzzer is heard when test button is pushed.
Note that the ship's CHT gauge is inop and the vacuum pressure is below the green arc. The voltage recorded on the JPI was at 13.0 volts. It should be approx 13.9 volts. Red line RPM is 2625 and tach is indicating 2600RPM. The engine will likely get to the redline once the prop is unloaded during the take off roll.
