'H's first proper walk in Snowdonia where he was able to be up with the mountains and clouds.....ended up going home with quite a collection of quartz bits, pretty pebbles and a much calmer mind :)

Amazing and mysterious construction at Quinta da Regaleira, Sintra, Portugal.
“The constellation's symbol is ♈, which represents a ram's horns. Aries is associated with courage, boldness, and initiation.” This particular ram is learning about the stars and constellations.
CHEF Tim Noonan wants us to take inspiration from the zodiac!
➤ The focus of your image will be your zodiac animal, either from the Western** or Chinese*** zodiac (one OR the other, not both in the same entry).
➤ The mood must be dusk or dawn (could be sunset or sunrise).
➤ Include an urban structure (bridge, tower, dam, etc.).
➤ And an everyday, man-made object (bottle, toy, shoe, etc.).
➤ NO PEOPLE

For my sorority initiation last Saturday, a day marking my transition to a full-fledged sister, my attire needed to strike a balance between tradition and personal style. Enter the "Picnic" dress by Tres Blah: a clean white canvas, elevated by subtle frilled shoulder straps and a lace-trimmed hem. It's a piece that speaks of simplicity with a hint of detail. Grounding the look were the "Raleigh" heels by Essenz, their ankle-wrapping straps adding a contemporary twist. And while sorority norms called for a bare face, my hair took center stage. Styled at Stealthic, it was pulled up with a few artfully curled tendrils left free.

The initiation process to join the Seer Society starts with losing the vision of your left eye, thus having it replaced with a "seer eye". The process is brutal and will naturally result in a ghastly scar.
Hello my little visionaries, your favorite seer is here with another release. Here we have "Initiation", a scar with two options, "raw" and "healed". The scar comes in 3 tones. Enjoy!
You may purchase or demo "Initiation" here

I told you I had to get to this place again. Still not happy with the result, but couldn't do better than this. Here's some information about it:
In the town of Sintra, the Quinta da Regaleira, an extremely beautiful architectural complex, includes an early twentieth century palace and a garden. Specialists consider that the estate reveals and symbolises Masonic rituals, although no-one knows whether the original owner of the estate, António Carvalho Monteiro, actually practised Masonic rituals on the site, or simply desired to perpetuate the imaginary universe of this secret cult. The garden includes labyrinthine galleries and subterranean grottoes, which can be accessed from this dry well, 60 metres deep, 9 stairwells each with 15 steps.
aka an inverted tower, this was never used as a water source, but for Masonic ritual involving tarot and other strange rites.

Another Polaroid Week comes to an end. In these raucous, often scary and divisive times, thank you each and every one for putting your light and beauty out there. The world needs it. Love to you all, fellow polaroiders and instant film fans. <3
Visiting Sintra was definitely a highlight of my Portugal trip! Here I'm visiting the famous initiation well at Quinta da Regaleira.
A beautiful sunrise lights up the sky looking towards the Lake District mountains as seen from the Point of Ayre. My favourite little lighthouse Winkie and its diagonal leading pathway providing a nice foreground for the photo. This shot was captured at around 70mm which helps compress the background, which is another way of saying helps the mountains in the backdrop to actually be visible rather than a collection of a few pixels along the horizon line.
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all my followers a very Merry Christmas. For all my fellow photographers, I hope Santa brings you all the photography gear you need to satisfy your festive GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome). Not much time left in 2024 now, but hopefully I can squeeze a little more landscape photography goodness from the year yet!

This shot and build was based on (or inspired by?) one of the best season openers from the animated Justice League series. Featuring none other than Lab9Minifig's recent Captain Atom, among many more familiar faces! :)
This may looke pretty simple, but there was a lof of little details involved with how I lit the photo. So if you wanna know how I did it, of just want to see more of this build Patreon has it all! In fact it's got my reveiw/opinions on this new fig, plus clear shots of the other figures, plus a video showing off the edit for the entire photoshoot, along with bonus fully edited shots featuring the Trinity, and a whole heap of content from past posts!
