“Actually, what it comes down to is that I shall certainly have solitude but only by miracle and not at all by my own contriving. Where? Here or there makes no difference. Somewhere, nowhere, beyond all ‘where.’ Solitude outside geography or in it. No matter. Coming back, walked around a corner of the woods and the monastery swung into view. I was free from it.”

Dear FLICKR friends.
Unfortunately I have to take it easy on FLICKR for the time being :-(
Sad circumstances affect me and my family :-(
We have to deal with it, but it requires a lot of energy :-(
I am very sorry for the inconvenience, such as hardly posting any photos, late responses, no comments etc. :-(
But, as always and very important: ENJOY, my friends ♫♪

^)(^ SORRY: I have to "slow down" (probably fewer photos, fewer input in groups, fewer comments and slower responses, etc.) for the next coming weeks, because we renovate our house ♫♪
I am very sorry about possible inconveniences ...
We as a family know the pain and overwhelming grief of losing a child to stillbirth. My daughter was helped through her grief by the wonderful people at Sids and Kids. She has entered a contest (Canon Creative for a Cause Competiton) to win $60,000 for the charity of her choice and has chosen SIDS. You can view her photo at

Missnoma (Claire) described the window "seems to be a mother's bowed head in grief and the shape of an S for Sids" and I think she described it perfectly.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
From now on, after over 95 million views, I'll stop posting my photos and AI images to many groups.
From now on, I'll only post them in groups that are dear to my heart.
Invitations are always welcome.
This way, I save time, which I use to post more photos and AI images to my stream.
I have so much more to show that wouldn't otherwise happen due to lack of time.
Thank you all for all the comments, invitations, and other kind words.
Keep ENJOYING, Flickr friends ♫♪

"Life consists in learning to live on one’s own, spontaneous, freewheeling: to do this one must recognize what is one’s own—be familiar and at home with oneself. This means basically learning who one is, and learning what one has to offer to the contemporary world, and then learning how to make that offering valid."
- Thomas Merton / from "Learning to Live" in Thomas Merton: Spiritual Master
