On the day in question, the South side of the Fells was foggy and dreich; the North side was foggy and frosty; the top, however, was frosty but ablaze with sunshine in a largely cloudless blue sky .. magical!

- The Opel 1500 was its own model series (1960-1962), so not a Rekord P1 (1957-1960).
- The "1500" like the "1200" replaced the the Olympia in August 1959. It had less trim, less accessoires and only available as Coach.

- Het Paard van Marken ("Horse of Marken") is the round iron lighthouse of Marken - The Netherlands..
- The current lighthouse was designed by J. Valk, provided with oil lamps according to the design by Jan van der Heyden and built in 1839 on the remains of the former square stone lighthouse from around 1700.
- In 1814 the tower was given a mist bell, been replaced by a foghorn in 1919.

And we were treated to this grey nebula sky opening like a vault to some ineffable beyond.
