You do not do any favors on loving someone
Neither me, neither me
Who invented love was not me
It was not me, was not me
Nor me or anyone else
Love happens in life
You were off guard and by chance I was too
And as chances are important, darling
Of our lives, life also made a chance

I am lucky enough to be married to a human who lives to create and creates to live and so it is easy to meet other artists and find out about events like this, Enso at Elastic Arts, featuring our friend Billie Howard playing violin and the dancer (and one of our former neighbors) Ayako Kato. They did a great job with the soundscape, the Ikebana, the origami on set to create a very vivid sensory presence with an interpretive dance that was really special. Ayako Kato has some of her previous dances up on her website here:
Billie has some of her compositions here:

The important feudal family of the Princes of Celje did not fulfill the highest ambition - to get to the throne of Austria. By a tricked twist of history they disappeared at the moment of their greatest glory in 1456 and Celje returned to common life. It is certainly an epic story!

Site of 2 Forts that were important to early American history :
Fort Bowyer was constructed by the U.S. Army during 1813 to guard against possible British attack. This small log and sand fortification was attack twice by the British during the War of 1812. The first attack made by four British warships and a combine force of British Royal Marines and Creek Indians came on September 15, 1814. The ensuing battle was total American victory. One warship, the H.M.S. Hermes was sunk and the marines and Creek Indians were forced to withdraw. During a second battle which took place during early February 1815, a combine British land and naval force forced the vastly outnumbered American troops to surrender the fort. By the terms of the treaty that ended the War of 1812, the British had to return Fort Bowyer to the United States. Fort Bowyer defended Mobile Point until the early 1820's.
Fort Morgan was seized by troops of the State of Alabama on January 4, 1861. Turned over to the Confederate Army in March of 1861, the fort served as the first line of defense for the city of Mobile and provided protection for blockade runners entering Mobile Bay. On the morning of August 5, 1864, Union naval forces fought their way past the Fort Morgan and defeated a Confederate naval squadron which included the C.S.S. Tennessee, one of the most powerful ironclads constructed in the South during the war. Union land forces commenced siege operations against Fort Morgan on August 9th. On the morning of August 22nd, Union artillery began one of the most intense bombardments of a single fort recorded during the Civil War. The Confederate's losses were 17 men killed. The Confederate garrison's 581 men were forced to surrender the next morning.
The Arno is a river in the Tuscany region of Italy. It is the most important river of central Italy after the Tiber.
The river originates on Monte Falterona in the Casentino area of the Apennines, and initially takes a southward curve. The river turns to the west near Arezzo passing through Florence, Empoli and Pisa, flowing into the Tyrrhenian Sea at Marina di Pisa.
With a length of 241 kilometres, it is the largest river in the region. It has many tributaries: Sieve at 60 kilometres long, Bisenzio at 49 kilometres, Ombrone Pistoiese at 47 kilometres, and the Era, Elsa, Pesa, and Pescia. The drainage basin amounts to more than 8,200 square kilometre and drains the waters of the following subbasins:
The Casentino, in the province of Arezzo, formed by the upper course of the river until its confluence with the Maestro della Chiana channel.
The Val di Chiana, a plain drained in the 18th century, which until then had been a marshy area tributary of the Tiber.
The upper Valdarno, a long valley bordered on the east by the Pratomagno massif and on the west by the hills around Siena.
The Sieve's basin, which flows into the Arno immediately before Florence.
The middle Valdarno, with the plain including Florence, Sesto Fiorentino, Prato, and Pistoia.
The lower Valdarno, with the valley of important tributaries such as the Pesa, Elsa, and Era and in which, after Pontedera, the Arno flows into the Ligurian Sea. The river has a very variable discharge, ranging from about 6 cubic metres per second to more than 2,000 cubic metres per second. The mouth of the river was once near Pisa but is now several kilometres westwards.
It crosses Florence, where it passes below the Ponte Vecchio and the Santa Trinita bridge (built by Bartolomeo Ammannati but inspired by Michelangelo). The river flooded this city regularly in historical times, most recently in 1966, with 4,500 cubic metres per second after rainfall of 437.2 millimetres in Badia Agnano and 190 millimetres in Florence, in only 24 hours.
Before Pisa, the Arno is crossed by the Imperial Canal at La Botte. This water channel passes under the Arno through a tunnel, and serves to drain the former area of the Lago di Bientina, which was once the largest lake in Tuscany before its reclamation.
The flow rate of the Arno is irregular. It is sometimes described as having a torrentlike behaviour, because it can easily go from almost dry to near flood in a few days. At the point where the Arno leaves the Apennines, flow measurements can vary between 0.56 and 3,540 cubic metres per second. New dams built upstream of Florence have greatly alleviated the problem in recent years.
The flood on November 4, 1966 collapsed the embankment in Florence, killing at least 40 people and damaging or destroying millions of works of art and rare books. New conservation techniques were inspired by the disaster, but even decades later hundreds of works still await restoration.
Mameda Town and its surroundings, which developed as a townspeople's land during the Tenryo period, retained a lot of land division at the time of residence, and traditional buildings remain well as a group, so the range of about 10.7 hectares was selected as a national important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings on December 10, 2004.

The Frimmersdorf power plant is a lignite power plant in the city of Grevenbroich. In the meantime it was one of the largest lignite power plants in Germany and in the early 1970s the largest in the world. It is located directly at the Garzweiler opencast mine in the Rhenish lignite mining area and originally had 16 power plant blocks. The power plant site extends over a large area.
Currently, there are still two 300 MW units in the German security standby. The various shutdowns of the two units are scheduled for October 1, 2021

Important to know: Iguanas are capable of severely injuring people, other animals and themselves when their body language messages are not recognized. Most iguanas clearly sign that trouble is ahead. They nod their head and wave their dewlap side to side.
The dewlap is a fold of loose skin hanging from the neck or throat of an animal, like a cow. Iguanas use their dewlap to communicate. First, an extended dewlap can simply be a greeting. An extended dewlap is often used to say hello to another creature during mating and most generally as a territorial sign. Second, it can be a form of protection. A threatened iguana may extend its dewlap to intimidate a predator into thinking it is much larger than it is. Third, an extended dewlap may be a sign that the iguana is trying to adjust its temperature. An extended dewlap on an iguana basking in the sun is quite normal. It may be catching sun to warm up or catching a breeze to cool off. So it's important to consider "the big picture" when reading an Iguana's body language.

When I was taking this photograph, the song "One" by U2 came to my mind and I thought, how true is the lyrics ... One love, one life ... and how important it is to love those who love you, because .. life is so short ... and there is only one life ...
Happy day to everyone!
Feeling nervous about the new year, the little man tries to stop the clock…
As we head into the new year, I wish for health and happiness for you and your loved ones.
Let’s keep lifting one another up, sharing kindnesses and support, understanding that every one of us is valuable and has something important to share.
Let’s remember that together we shine so much brighter, a beacon of light and hope that reminds us and others that we are one.
Let’s keep offering one another a hand when we fall down, giving each other a little nudge when we get stuck, realizing we’re all on the same team.
Let’s keep learning, listening, encouraging, connecting, growing, inspiring, and creating.
Stay confident. Stay strong. And don’t let anything stop you from blazing your trail.
Happy New Year, everyone!
Heidi thinks it’s important to train your humans. Once you know how it‘s done it‘s fairly easy she says. You just need to let them know who‘s the boss and find out how to push their buttons. So if you think your human is lazy and the floors need cleaning, just pee on all your paws while in the litter box and then go tour the whole place. You’ll be surprised how fast your servants jump from their couch and start a thorough house cleaning.
Have a happy weekend everyone! I‘ll be doing some cleaning, I guess 😂
