De Westerschelde die toegang geeft tot de haven van Antwerpen is voor de scheepvaart een niet gemakkelijk te bevaren route. Ter plaatse goed bekende loodsen helpen de bemanning bij het bevaren van deze zeearm met zijn verraderlijke zandbanken. De loodsboot rechts heeft net de loods opgepikt van de chemicaliën tanker "Nordic Inge"

 

The Western Scheldt, which gives access to the port of Antwerp, is not an easy route for shipping. Well-known pilots on site help the crew navigate this estuary with its treacherous sandbanks. The pilot boat on the right just picked up the pilot from the chemical tanker "Nordic Inge"

 

Die Westerschelde, die den Zugang zum Hafen von Antwerpen ermöglicht, ist keine einfache Schifffahrtsroute. Vor Ort gut bekannte Lotsen helfen der Besatzung bei der Navigation durch diese Mündung mit ihren tückischen Sandbänken. Das Lotsenboot rechts hat den Lots gerade vom Chemietanker "Nordic Inge" abgeholt.

 

L'Escaut occidental, qui donne accès au port d'Anvers, n'est pas une voie de navigation facile. Des pilotes bien connus sur place aident l'équipage à naviguer dans cet estuaire avec ses bancs de sable dangereux. Le bateau pilote sur la droite vient de prendre le pilote du pétrolier "Nordic Inge"

Upbound at Walpole Island, the Arctic class 3 icebreaker CCGS Des Groseilliers (IMO 8006385, Ottawa Ontario) works the lower St. Clair River.

 

CCGS Des Groseilliers is a Pierre Radisson-class icebreaker in the Canadian Coast Guard. The vessel is named after Médard Chouart des Groseilliers a close associate of Pierre-Esprit Radisson in explorations west of the Great Lakes and the founding of the British Hudson's Bay Company. The ship entered service in 1982.
