Just felt like taking another picture of my beloved iMac. It's so nice to use Handbrake without having to listen to the jet engine that is my MacBook's fan.
I really love the noise that my 5D produces!

The dreaded original iMac keyboard (made in Mexico), on top, which isn't quite as bad as people make out (I think they were poisoned by the accompanying puck mouse). The Pro Keyboard (made in Malaysia) below is quite good, but was discontinued several years ago for the white "crumb tray" version that wasn't nearly as good. See my blog post.
This old iMac was bought in 2006. The performace of Intel Core Duo 1.83GHz has been ok so far. It came with 160GB harddisk and 512MB RAM which are definitely insufficient for nowadays' workload but I like this white iMac so much that I never intend to give up on it. Upgrade is the answer.
Quite a complicated task to disassemble the iMac but I finally managed to replace it with a new 500GB harddisk. 2GB RAM were also installed. These form a foundation to upgrade the Mac OS from Tiger to Snow Leopard, which is the maximum OS version this lovely iMac can run.
Occasionally my old keyboard malfunctioned at the same time. Couldn't believe the first broken hardware of this iMac was the keyboard... Well a new wired Apple keyboard was bought too.
I always like to activate old stuffs (including my iPhone EDGE) as long as they are still usable. After all my 2006 iMac is now reborn! I hope it can last for another 6 years. Too greedy huh!?
Finally ditched the clutter windows setup and went for the minimalistic Apple iMac setup and have never looked back since!
A photo of the inside of my old iMac G5. I used to use this as a laptop computer when I traveled. It fit inside a padded mixer bag I own and had a larger display and more robust system configuration than most laptops available at the time. It was a little bulky to carry around, but very useful for working with video.
Since i've now moved on to the new iMac Core Duo, this venerable iMac G3 is now re-assigned as the jukebox to stream music from the main iMac to our TV and hifi system.
El teclado de la nueva iMac de aluminio. Bien finitio y super cómodo, tanto que no estoy usando el inalámbrico clásico blanco.
This is a 20'' iMac G5 (A' Rev). It's the mac that wakes us (via Aurora and iTunes) and put us to sleep (via Sofa Control, VLC and our favorite TV Shows and old Greek Movies). Furthermore its huge internal hard drive houses our music library (iTunes), our photo library (iPhoto) and a large collection of movie files. All in all a worthy media extender for the bedroom. Thanks to Sofa Control and Keyspan Frontrow Control for making it all possible!
I built this aquarium out of a dead iMac at work. It's in my boss' office now because she's the only one who can remember to feed this fish...
Screen turns blue, but unlike Windows, this isn't bad news.
24" iMac Extreme 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
This is s a rare prototype of the famous iMac G3 Graphite computer with transparent plastics.
Installed is a mock or dummy" CRT made of plastic, not glass. Note that the analog/power supply board is un-populated.
Just a random shot. I know the Keyboard is not that clean.

Luxury is being able to affor the latest in technology. My new iMac with a 21.5" screen and loaded with Lion. Still new to me and I am going through the learning curve still.
My old iMac G5 relocated to the office, together with an iBook G4. Both waiting to be sold. More info on my Greek blog here.
