Ilford Pan-F is famous for its extremely fine grain. The dynamic range is also amazing.

Incidentally, this particular shot shows the weak point in Concorde's design, which led to the crash in June 2000 that killed everyone on board and 4 people on the ground; a total of 113.
The main gear on the Concorde is located quite far to the front, near the air intakes of the engines, of which there are two to starboard and two to port.
The cause of the accident was that tyres of the main gear burst due to debris on the runway. Rubber pieces from the exploding tyres penetrated the walls of the full fuel tanks in the wings from below. A massive fuel leak ensued, with the kerosene being ingested by the port engines and setting them on fire.
On most other aircraft, the engines hang from pods below and ahead of the leading edge of the wings and the main gear is far behind them. The ingestion of fuel leaking from wing tanks is then impossible.

St Paul's Church in Alverthorpe (Wakefield) was the venue for a service of commemoration of the seven men who died in the Lofthouse Colliery Disaster on 21 March 1973.
A strange experiment. An almost 60 year old camera with a modern lens mounted. Actually, I don't have another wide angle lens for the Leica M-Mount. However, the Cosina Voigtländer 21mm is very good, though, due to its diminutive size, it does lead to quite some vignetting.
The M1 is a strange camera. I can't figure out the point of it. It's called "the Forgotten Leica", and small wonder. Still, the M1 is strangely fun to use. With a very wide angle lens, you don't worry about the focusing and concentrate on the picture instead.

Still looking for the right lens to put in and leave on my M1. It has to be a super-wide lens because I don't want to bother with accurate focusing. The M1 doesn't have a rangefinder.
I tried the Elmarit II 28mm (11801) from the 1970s. That didn't convince me. The Cosina Voigtländer Color Skopar 21mm f/4 performed well, but felt a bit too modern.
The Super Angulon looks as if it could be the one. It has a rear element that protrudes far into the body, so I was expecting to see quite some vignetting. But in fact there was hardly any.
