Still looking for the right lens to put in and leave on my M1. It has to be a super-wide lens because I don't want to bother with accurate focusing. The M1 doesn't have a rangefinder.
I tried the Elmarit II 28mm (11801) from the 1970s. That didn't convince me. The Cosina Voigtländer Color Skopar 21mm f/4 performed well, but felt a bit too modern.
The Super Angulon looks as if it could be the one. It has a rear element that protrudes far into the body, so I was expecting to see quite some vignetting. But in fact there was hardly any.
I have created a Flickr group for photos shot with and of this rare camera: --> Click

The wind pushed the grass over the two men right when I was pushing the shutter, now I think it adds a bit more to the composition than what I originally had in mind. Its thanks to surprises like this that I enjoy photography more.

The funicular in Heidelberg starts at Kornmarkt in the old downtown area (elevation 113 m), with stops at the castle (192 m), Molkenkur (289 m) and Königstuhl (583 m).
The lower line from Kornmarkt to Molkenkur was inaugurated in 1890 and has been completely refurbished, using modern trains in 2005.
The upper line from Molkenkur to Königstuhl was inaugurated in 1905 and today still uses the original, more than 110 year old wooden trains.
This picture shows one of the original trains entering Königstuhl station on the way up, creaking and groaning, as one could expect. There is a 41% gradient on the last bit.
An American couple taking the train up volubly complained about the lack of air conditioning.
