Milady and I decided to go for a jaunt. We stopped at Wagner Brewing and Vineyards. They do excellent work on both sides of the house. I got a flight while Corky checked out the wines.
As the weather warms, those big doors will open up, making the whole room and extension of the deck overlooking Seneca Lake.

Photographed August 2018 / Rolleiflex 'Old Standard' with Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 7.5cm/3.5 lens. Film was ILFORD HP5 PLUS metered at ASA 320 developed in PYROCAT-HD (5ml A + 25ml B > 600ml, 7min 15sec @ 20*C). Negative was illuminated on a light box and ' scanned' using an iPad mini and the FilmScanner app, a medium grey (zone V) reference negative was used to calibrate the scanner and get the 'correct' exposure. Image was processed & finished in Flickr.
After Letchworth we stopped at Rising Storm Brewing for food and drink. I was the masked wanderer with the Ondu pinhole. Folks were fascinated with it.

Wolf Creek glen is considerably below the level of the gorge rim. The trail crosses the creek on a foot bridge just upstream from where the creek begins its plunge down a series of falls to the Genesee River. I have taken many photographs of and and around this little bridge.
Friday, June 3 I hiked the Letchworth State Park trail 1 along the west side of the Genesee River gorge end-to-end with a loop back. It was a beautiful day for hiking - a few clouds and high about 75F. I took lots of photographs with the Olympus OM2 and Ilford HP5. Gaia GPS said 15.1 miles for the entire trip, which makes me think trail 1 is longer than the published 7 miles.

More from Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day, April 25, 2021. We decided to take a drive that afternoon, with Montezuma Winery www.montezumawinery.com/ as our destination. Corky went inside to buy some wine; I walked around with the Ondu pinhole.
Montezuma Winery is named for the nearby Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. The outside statuary honors the refuge.

I like this one a lot, though not for the reason I took it. But if you don't take the shots you don't get the happy accidents.

I walked down to the Saint Helena bridge site earlier this month. Other than old bridge abutments, the original town is long since covered by silt.
I overcompensated for the brightness and actually underexposed several of this set.

I had both cameras with me. I finished the roll in the Argus C3, put it back in its pouch, and retrieved the Ondu 135 pinhole camera.
For comparison's sake, I took much the same photograph as I had just taken with the Argus. Pinhole cameras do give a different view of reality.

Playing with the light.
My son @Spielorjh plays Tuesday Tunes with an Irish group at one Irish tavern and sometimes elsewhere. This was a Sunday afternoon at Johnny's Irish Pub. Sometimes I take photographs of the players and their instruments; sometimes I just look around for interesting light to play with.

There is an overlook on the gorge rim up from Wolf Creek. From there you can look back toward the Tea Table area and forward to Archery Field, visible in the center of the photograph. It would take me about an hour to get there.

Since we were already at the southeast extension of Letchworth we continued east through Nunda to Dansville and Battle Street Brewery.
One of the reasons we like wineries is that the scenery is often so lovely. One reason we like breweries is that they get built in such interesting places. Battle Street Brewery is in the train station of the former Mount Morris - Dansville Railroad and has a railroad-themed decor. It's a good place for a fine brew, flatbread pizza, and people-watching.

Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
A couple weeks ago I walked over to Durand Eastman Park for my morning reading and prayers. I put the Argus C3 in the daypack. The sun was filtering through the trees most delightfully. I took several photographs around me from where I was sitting as the light changed, and one more straight up.
I was in a pensive mood as I looked back over the photos. I thought of Psalm 90 as I gazed at this one. Now that I am in the seventy plus category, this psalm has a special place in my heart.

One of two photos where I've been testing my ability to focus the Nikon-P 10.5cm f/2.5 lens on a Nikon S2 rangefinder. This was a pretty low hurdle, but overall I think it's quite a task, particularly when compared with using the lens adapted to a Nikon mirrorless camera. I have had some quite disappointing failures.
This photo provides a good illustration of out of focus rendering of quite a busy background.
As you can see from the second photograph in the set, the pool extends some distance. I had to wade to get to the rocks.
The photographs up, down, and across were from on top of the abutment.
