I think this is a damselfly (I will have to call for help from ID please)...these are numerous in the meadow below the gardens...and they do NOT sit for portraits. I was very lucky to get this one ( threw out a half dozen...and was very surprised this was ok)
To my friend Roe Empleo who always inspired me with this kind of images... Cheers! Hope you like it!

I drove past this yard on Sunday and saw these large mushrooms in a circle. I thought
they were fake. This bothered me, so I returned on Monday to find most of them
had disappeared, but they were real. I trespassed to grab these.
Just what you always wanted, a newly created Mushroom & Fungus set.

Large mushroom
East Central Indiana
August
This is from my archives.
I've been very busy lately, and the weather didn't help.
Taken at Santa Rosa de Calamuchita, Cordoba.
a nice find in the last few days...in SW Ontario, mixed woodland, Bruce County...two groups of these attractive mushrooms...not quite like anything in my Barron book...individual mushrooms about 3" across ( 5cm), with light coloured gills as shown...spore print produced a very rich brown print...spores scattered beyond the outline of the diameter ... spores were produced rapidly.
This could be Pholiota malicola....though the tops are not yet shiny.... I have been watching this for at least three days now...
I have found a couple of other related varieties...I am pretty sure it is one of the Pholiota species.
Opinions would be appreciated ...thank you !
I took these three pictures all in the same day, over at the Buford Trout Hatchery. I actually do no that the last one is a Bluebird! The first two birds were in the same tree, but I don't think they were the same species. I know the second one is a flycatcher of some sort, and I had thought Mockingbird for the 1st, but I still need to check it out.
Another shot from Malampuzha. It was a rainy day with dark clouds, but this little piece of blue sky really stood out..
Took me some time to decide which shot to show in the photostream, the original or the sepia? Finally, chose sepia as it catches eyes fast and it is my first sepia upload.
Do you know their name? please tell me.
Found in a park in South of Sweden - a whole lot of them, small leaves and about 25 - 30 cm high - on my screen the colour is very close to real flowers.
è il primo fiore che produce e chi me ne aveva donato una foglia per riprodurlo non ne conosceva il nome.
Qualcuno mi può aiutare?

spotted a new bird visiting the baby goats this morning, the color is kinda tricky, looks like blue, looks like gray...could it be a jay or a mountain blue bird? or something else? We live in the North West, zone 4 in Montana. Every year we notice more and more new birds visiting our farm during the Spring time.
This guest nestled in the Meadow Rue Columbine looks like a moth, however not being as knowledgeable as some of my contacts maybe one of you will recognize this...if it is a moth, it's one of the prettiest ones l've come across in a long while...
I hope everyone is having an awesome day/afternoon/evening...
Thanks ever so much for your visits... :)))))
Group invitations are not necessary, your more than welcome to just enjoy the view or not... :)

Angel hair is an ice formation caused when water soaked logs are warmed during the daytime so that they release steam that is frozen in the overnight lower temperatures. It looks like thin white hair and can be as long as 4 to 6 inches in length.

underneath a nice fat mushroom...it was not convenient to do a spore print...thus there is little chance I'll discover which variety this is..... mixed woodlands, SWOntario, stout stalk... light-coloured gills, growing on the ground in a scattered clump.... IDPLease if you have any idea...will be greatly appreciated .
A Shrike washed in Monsoon Rain near Bhagamandala(Coorg).
Looks like a Long-tailed shrike, or is it Bay-backed shrike(what is the difference?). May be a juvenile. #IDplease
I was looking on the backside of a caladium which had a bug which rolls into all sorts of tiny leaf pieces etc and nearly missed this bug on the top frontside. Beautiful colors and glass wings. He was about 3/4 of an inch long. As yet unnamed.
Looks like a Cicada - Thanks Dougee!
LOCATION: Central Florida.. found on caladium leaf under an old oak tree.. didn't fly when disturbed. about 3/4 inch long.

I was walking towards the patio door when this little bird hit the door and fell on the deck.. The next shots show what I saw. It didn't look good at first but it eventually got better and flew off hopefully to survive its ordeal...
I cannot ID it in my Field Guide...? Thanks Harjeet for the ID. I should have found it, it is in my book?
So today I walked down to the lake to look for something to spark my interest. Maybe a bird, maybe a butterfly, well there was none of that.

See it Large on black!
I had to stop and take this pic one day when hubby and I were coming home from town. I am sure there's a scientific term for this formation. If anyone knows please let me know. It was heading East and it was stationary for about an hour, lol. Is that not wierd? Enlarge for details of it in the center :/
This bright (horn worm?) caught our attention at Paint Creek dam last weekend. Funny how everyone yells for me when they see a bug, worm, etc. They must know how buggy I am.....
The rear of the caterpillar was interesting, as seen in the photo below.
Saitis speciosus (likely rev. Maratus speciosus). Male. On Tetragonia decumbens.
He made sure to keep at least one of his multiple eyes on me! South Cottesloe Beach, 2006.
Nest with 4 baby birds.
Can someone ID the bird? Never seen one before - some type of swallow maybe?
I couldn't get a good shot of the adult's underbelly but it is white.
click on this link to see video showing the bird's belly.

My daughter said this was a robin's nest and after they left this bird took over and laid her eggs.
The birds built this nest on my daughter's front porch. 4 babies hatched and doing well.
The mom and dad were very active in feeding this brood. Was able to get a shot of two of them with beaks open wide.
UPDATE ~ 9July13 ~ my daughter told me that 2 babies fledged this morning. YAY
Quite a lovely specimen, colorful and with beautiful legs. Up close the hairs stick out so perfectly from them. I took this and several others this morning in the backyard. Hugs and thanks for viewing! =o)

This juvenile Eurasian blue tit* was seen perched on the bird table in our Cambridgeshire garden.
*Thank you to Bárbol, from the ID Please! group, for confirming my identity of this bird.
Geek alert: This image was hand-held using a lens with an effective (35 mm) focal length of 600 mm. The generally accepted reciprocal rule suggests that I should have used a shutter speed of at least 1/600th of a second when hand-holding at this focal length. I am impressed with my OM-D E-M5 Mark II's ability to get an acceptable (to me) shot at over 1 EV less!
If you have read this far, you may be wondering why I have tagged this image as a 'dinosaur'? Well. According to this Wikipedia article, birds are the last living dinosaurs!
I found a long log on the forest floor yesterday, with a large portion of it covered with this crusty white growth ( including an incorporated maple leaf...)
Part of the fungus looks like little crisp white bracket fungi...and the rest looks like a slime mould ( no flat white slime moulds in my Barron book..)
Any help will be greatly appreciated...thank you !
I believe a Cenopis or Leafroller of some sort but not able to ID? Only approx. 1/2" long.
Possibly a Reticulated Fruitworm (Cenopis reticulatana)?
I don't know what kind of bird this sweet one is, but I had noticed it recently, hiding in the trees. Then on a hot day we put the sprinkler out, and Little Birdie just couldn't resist. Too cute!
This was originally just a practice shot for an upcoming evening musical party at friend's; it's obvious I don't use video, much. Even though I wasn't as smooth with this as I'd like, it was so much fun, I thought it worth sharing. Oh, and if anyone can identify Little Sprinkler Bird, that would be great.
SAPO CORREDOR-BUFO CALAMITA ?
This little frog appears in the tiles of outside the house in the farm.He was so small and cute.No more than 2,5cm.I've never seen one like this and specialy so small.I love it hope you also do
WISH YOU A WONDERFUL AND HAPPY WEEKEND MY FRIEND
@Thanks for your great friendship, coments and faves. They mean a lot to me and make me happy
To spread the seeds, this plant opens the fruits (size: 1 cm) in this way. Looks similar to a firework display, or? :)
Too bad, I don't know the name of the plant - maybe someone can help identify it. The pic was taken in a greenhouse (Botanical garden), with other mediterranean plants (south Europe, Canary Islands, Madeira...).
