There's a pretty fine line between eccentricity and weirdness. No doubt I criss-cross all the time. Photography provides the perfect justification. No matter what strange circumstance I find myself in, I simply hold my camera aloft if I'm challenged and that generally provides ample explanation. Still at times I'm just as happy if no one is present. I tend to get into a zone, working as I often do trying to capture feelings more than scenes. Or more precisely scenes that convey feeling. Found myself slipping across the eccentricity boundary recently as I lay in the grass getting soaked by a summer thunderstorm, moisture wicking up from the ground and rain soaking me on its way down from the heavens. None of that really mattered in the moment. I was intent on capturing the scene unfolding around me, everything except the gravestones in motion, propelled by wind gusts. It was like a kaleidoscope of early summer color hues, distinct but rendered like a real-life version of an impressionist painting...a projection of substance through suggestion more than the hard definition of photograph. I loved the sensing the release of energy and seeing the effects play out in front of me. The first couple of phots did not do it any justice. I stopped down the lens to slow the shutter. In the resulting blur I found my justification for being here, and weirdness drifted back into eccentric.
Some idiots sprayed this wall for some grafitti and most of the plants above were sprayed, too. But this damage couldn't prevent the birth of this cute and innocent little one with the big eyes and the purple dress. Welcome to your spring, little One.

This was the 6th shot of the evening that was a long exposure. The first 5 shots did NOT come out like I wanted. Made a HUGE mistake in rushing to capture the sky that started to change colors and full of great looking clouds. I was only using the 9 stop filter to get 30 second exposure - enough to smooth out the very choppy water, but not too long so able to leave some of the nice cloud definition (like in this shot posted with the idiot photographer in the frame).
The first 5 shots were taken at 12mm (not 10mm), and they were taken at "wrong" manual focus. Not mentioning any names, but someone in the rush of things forgot to check the zoom setting and also to check that the manual focus was set at the proper spot. Also I was thinking about the next shot and setting it up without at least checking the screen and zooming in to make sure things were in focus.
Live and learn I guess. Better to make the mistake here and hopefully learn from it, versus being in Yellowstone or Acadia and messing it all up!!!

After tearing around the bay on their jet skis, two of the riders started performing for the watching public.
They stand on the back part of their Jet ski which they have detached and start doing acrobatics.
A sort of comedy musical super group comprising; Ade Edmonson, Phill Jupitus, Neil Innes and Rowland Rivron.
Neil is the elder statsmen of the groups Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and later The Rutles.
The night was one long laugh along with jokes and good music.
The concert was part of the Wirral's International Guitar Festival
