I assume that you already know the cappuccino. If not, get introduced to
Italian coffe culture or have a look on Wikipedia. The Marocchino is a kind of small cappuccino: it's a caffè espresso in a glass, topped with a layer of cocoa and frothy milk.
What's the bizarre origin of the marocchino?
Even if it's increasingly popular in Milan, it seems that Marocchino was born in Torin, where there is a strong community of people from Morocco. Moroccans were attracted by the cappuccino, but they usually went for a simple caffè espresso, because it was cheaper. They started to ask for caffè espresso with a bit of milk and cocoa, in order to get something good as a cappuccino but cheap as a coffee.
In Italian "moroccan" is translated into "marocchino", so that's the reason why it was called marocchino by the barmen.
And what this Marockyno is?
In Japan restaurants display hyperrealistic models of food to help visitors. This is one of those reproduction, in a bar of Tokyo.
I thought that it was a mistake if they wrote here "marockyno" instead of "marocchino", but .naomi has just pointed out that it might have been done on purpose because otherwise Japanese people would have ridden it with the wrong accent... Anyone living in Japan? What do you think?

E cos'è questo Marockyno?
In Giappone è molto diffusa l'usanza di mettere in vetrina, tramite fedelissimi modelli artigianali, i piatti offerti dal locale. E' considerata una vera e propria forma di alto artigianato, tant'è che a Roma hanno giusto inaugurato la mostra L'estetica del sapore
Nella foto è ritratta una vetrina di un bar a Tokyo e pensavo che "Marockyno" fosse semplicemente un errore di battitura, ma .naomi mi ha appena fatto notare che potrebbe essere stato scritto così di proposito, per evitare che venisse pronunciato "marocino"...

As a hyperrealistic painter, Deng Cheng Wen creates images of striking detail that recreate representation to its highest form. Considering this, the artist also uses this as a conceptual element, further exhibiting his characters in their symbolic identity as the young generation. In 'Lost Youth', we see the artist clearly identify to us that the young woman at the head of the line is from the young generation of China he showcases in his art. However, behind her is a more ambiguous figure, leaving the interpretation open as to whether this is a mother, friend, or teacher. Whatever the connection is, the covered eyes of both women speak volumes to the concept that 'Blindness' may not always be an individual phenomenon, but perhaps a product of the society we live in.

I resculpted the nose and mouth of this Alita head sculpt to likeness of supermodel Karen Elson. The skin tone in Milk with hyperrealistic blushing and an experimental resin coating for skin like texture and to protect the blushing.
I made two red wigs that are iconically Karen for her: a frizzy and wild afro style with central parting (wool mohair mix) and classic femme fatale curls from smooth alpaca.
The miniatures are a mix of things, mostly re-ment.
